I still see no reason to buy a PS3.

Whats the point anyway? The only thing I can see myself playing on the PS3 that isn't on the 360 is probably Uncharted. Thats about it. The only game that seems worth getting is probably MGS4 which probably won't live up to its hype. Other than that everything else seems dull to me. LGB is nothing to get excited over, Killzone 2 I won't even bother because I'm sick of shooters and the next FF and GOW3 game will probably come out in 2009.

So, whats the point?

all consoles have a good variety of games.... it comes down to each individuals console preference... I got the PS3 and i have many reasons to be happy with my purchase...

Honestly i find it repetitive and quite stupid as a thought to post threads stating 'I have no reason to buy PS3', ' PS3 has no games', 'PS3 is just a blu-ray player' etc etc... If PS3 is not your type of console just dont buy it, you dont need to inform the rest of the world about that...

Well... I can't know the reasons why you would want it. It's obvious that you don't.

But people in general do like watching movies, so I'd say Blu-ray is a very valid reason.

Also there's plenty of other good games. Resistance, Motorstorm, Uncharted, Warhawk, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Heavenly Sword, Ratchet & Clank, Folklore and a whole bunch of multiplats.

Both systems are very similar and share alot of the same games, but USUALLY people tend to go with the system they like more, and had the key exclusives they want. Halo guys go for Xbox, Metal Gear, Final Fantasy guys go for Playstation. Your argument can easly be used for someone who already owns a PS3 and not a 360, they can just as easily say "I see no reason to own a 360" so yeah. Also you can be totally crazy and own both! yea except most people dont want to blow heaps of money on 2 systems which are only slightly different with their games.

90% of games now are multiplatform, unless you couldnt live without Halo and MGS, theres no reason to buy both.

I still think the PS3 is the lesser of the 3 machines out there - but I'd say the gap has been closed a bit now, and if didn't own a console - the chioce in what to buy would be harder.

As I already own a 360, there is not really any reason to get the PS3 for me. If I didn't have a 360 and walked into a shop today, the choice would be harder. Most of the key games for me, are multiplats. I'd still probably sway towards the 360 because its exclusives that I want.

I can see why different people sway different ways though. again, doesn;t appeal to me personally, but I can see appreciate that the blu-ray player is a great addition to a mahcine, then there is the free online play and the reliability issues of the xbox to consider.

People can say the same if they only own a ps3 system by saying God of War, and MGS4 and FF 13 are only on the ps3 why do they need an xbox 360.

It all boils down to what games u dig and how much u willing to spend to buy these games even if they arent on your favorite console. I think all 3 have games that I really like, only reason I play more of my third party games on the ps3 is because I dont think it is worth coffing up money just for a few added features in xbox live. I am quite happy just playing halo 3 split screen with friends or family who come over or just enjoying mass effect, lost odyssey myself. Now if sony made us pay for online play or there servers were just laggy as hell that I couldnt enjoy my online on PSN, then of course I would have no choice but to accept that offer with xbox live, but seriously ppl are talkin alot bs about PSN being bad but in reality when u can play your games and enjoy them with friends and other people online, thats all that counts. I think people just make such a big deal about it because they pay for it so they want to defend it, when in reality its the same thing, only thing is added features.

Xbox Live yeah its nice but PSN is also improving and constantly is at no charge, achievements it was fun made me play games I usuaully wouldnt take a second look at but its nothing special really only a form of e-wang measurement... gears of war - absolute rubbish.

Reasons to buy PS3? Metal Gear Solid. Nuff said. Though I could add more its up to the invidual's choice on what they want in a console and what exclusives they want to play.

All products have a percentage fail rate... this is true. However the percentage fail rate for the 360 is very very high.

if you can provide a link to a few other products with similiar fail rates thats being produced at the moment it may help your point.
