I swear....this whole year was a flop

I spent over $250 this year on different games since 6 months ago....not ONE so far has appeased me...

First I bought Sins of a solar empire....too complicated for my taste, felt like school, didnt like it

Then I bought a new mmo, WAR, it sucked, nuff said

Next I got dead space, the game was OK, but not nearly worth $60 dollars for a 10 hour campaign

Farcry 2 was next, this one I had high hopes for, I had been anticipating this one for a while, damn what a dissapointment, it got repetitive literally after an hour into the campaign....go here kill this guy, destroy this supply truck, raid this camp....yawn

Lastly I got Fallout 3, I dont know but this whole world of fallout seems so lifeless(not literally, I know its the apocalypse and all), the npcs are so uninteresting and the game is so uninspiring, just like oblivion

Come to think of it ONE game this year was good....World of Goo....that game rocked, that is what a game should be, plain fun

My last hope this year is Left4Dead, and if that flops, I am literally going to cry....

2008 for me is dispensable almost. not a flop, but not a big year.

2009 looks to be huge.

Treehouse of Horror episode a few years back.

This gen has been the best gen I've been a part of.

Wow me and you are very different people lol, imo fallout 3 is so full of life all the npcs are really interesting to me and i loved oblivion, but each to his own i suppose, you played fable 2 yet? that was good i think your probably hard to please.Cloud_in_midgar

can someone tell me what is so huge about 2009. also 2008 is huge. if it was january of this year and you call out all the games that would have been hyped. the list is extremely long

this year has had its droughts but the games this year have been awesome

Don't blame the entire industry for your terrible, terrible taste in games.

The only game that disappointed me so far this year was Fable 2. It was ok I guess, but it lacked polish and the magic system was horrible. I guess I expected a better version of Fable 1...I was wrong.

I thought Dead Space was great, and I'm enjoying Fallout 3 for what it is. It really is Oblivion with guns IMO, but it got rid of most of the issues I had with Oblivion so I like it.

Ok just because a game didnt live up to ur hype doesnt make it a flop. Really can we start using flop in the correct capacity?

This year has had some misses, but its had some of the biggest hits as well. I have been more then happy with this year and at there has probably been a good game every month at least one. To make gaming worth while.

And this holiday season we've been showered with awesome games.

Dont buy games brand new, i couldve got them all for around less than $150 EASILY

And as for SoaSE, its a game that isnt for everyone, you have learn its mechanics before you can truly enjoy it

There was a decent amount of PC games this year. Sins of a Solar Empire is one of the best games this year on any platform. I don't care what anyone says.
