I think a lot of sheep don't realise the graphical gap between Wii and PS3 / 360

Sure, everyone knows that Wii does not play games in HD. However, I am constantly reading comments from Sheep that imply that HD is the ONLY noticeable difference between Wii and the next gen powerhouses, and this annoys me to no end. Wii games, even in standard definition, look no-where near as impressive as Xbox 360 and PS3. The graphical jump between Wii and the other systems goes way beyond just 480i to 720p / 1080p. The lighting, textures, polygon counts, and so on are way more advanced when you have a powerful system, even if you're viewing in standard definition. In fact, HD may very well be one of the less noticeable improvements you'll see between a last gen game and a next gen game.

As I said, the difference between Wii and PS3 / Xbox 360 is way more than just an increase in resolution. It's an increase in EVERYTHING, and you don't need a 60" 1080p LCD screen to see it. So please, do not act like the only difference between Wii and the other systems is that Wii can't output in HD.

Even at SD my 360 and PS3 look way better than anything on the Wii. Textures, models, etc, all of that.

Hell 8 bit graphics are cool... in a kitschy nostalgic sort of way. I don't want sprite based characters to become the norm again, just because Nintendo stresses gameplay over graphics. As a matter of fact, does Nintendo even make games anymore?*

Oh, I'm perfectly well aware of the graphical gap between the Wii and 360. I have both of them hooked up to the same SDTV. There's asignificant difference between the best Wii games and the best 360 games.

Some do, some don't. I'm sort of a sheep, and the Wii games look worse than 360/PS3 games. That's a fact. But here's the thing, I still play those games :o. Yes, shocking I know.

This is a pretty stupid comment to tell you the truth.

If they cared, and I mean truly cared, why would they have a Wii in the first place? There's nothing stopping them from trading it in for a 360 or a PS3 outside of cost that is.

Why would someone care...Where there not great games that came out during the 16 bit time frame? I say that well playing Space Quest at the same time.

No I mean release a brand new console in 2006 with 16 bit graphics and charging 250 for it.

Well technically games are made up of graphics. They certainly aint made of puppy dogs and sunshine. Some of the best games wouldn't be possible without the upgrade in graphics we get every generation. Super Mario World not possible on the NES, etc etc etc.

You get what you pay for I bought a GC that had Blue Tooth, online, Wii channels, hard drive "kinda", WiiSports and able to download VC games. That not really a bad deal for $250, I would love a PS3 but with 2 kids I can't just go out and spend $500 on a game system.

Okay I don't know who Sheep is, unless it's a metaphor for consumers and gamers, but I don't think may people dissagree about the difference. Anyone who does is a lier and in denial. This coming from a DIE HARD NINTENDO AND WII FAN.

However the real problem is that the Wii CAN output graphics that significantly dwindel that gap and that look nothing less than stellar. Even in comparison. Look at MEtroid and Galaxy for that proof.

Now we just need ALL DEVELOPERS to stop being lazy and realize how powerful the Wii really is. Thank god for RE:Umbrella Chronicles and Final Fantasy: CC. They both look amazing.

Oh and I'm sorry, not to be a "cliched hater", But the PS3 could not be more of a waste of money. This is not a fanboy talking, this is damn near fact.

Look at the library: Genji (crap), Gundam (uber crap), Resistence (decent and fun), and Full auto 2 (meh). Can anyone else name another title that's already released that is only available on the PS3 and will STAY that way? I'm pretty sure there's nothing and Full Auto 2 is on the PSP of all things. I was just trying to "help" Sony's cause.

The fact is is that next to these FOUR (4!) titles, EVERY SINGLE GAME ON THE PS3 EXISTS OR WILL SOON EXIST ON OTHER CONSOLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My god man for more money thatn the other two consoles how can this thing exist? Out of principle it's offensive!
