I think I'm finally done with gaming.

I'm a die hard halo fan and I just tried out the beta. It was not terrible, but I just did not feel any joy in playing it. This is a game I've been looking forward to for ages.

This has slowly been happening to me for a year or so now. I'm just not finding joy in video games like I once did. I just turned 39, have a 10 month year old daughter and I feel I'm changing. Anyone else feel this way? Oh well, I guess this was inevitable. Time to move on and discover new hobbies. Anyone interested in buying a Xbox one and games?

New developers sometimes take a franchise we liked for years in ways we dislike as longtime fans (Exempli Gratia: Devil May Cry, Halo, Jak & Daxter, Ratchet & Clank, Zelda, God of War, or even the upcoming GeoW).

I understand your pain.

New developer 343 angered a lot of fans with Halo 4 MP, CODizing it. Others thought it was fine. Then there was the Halo MCC bug/glitch across MP/SP debacle.

Now the Halo 5 Beta isn't for a fan like you, I understand. I also read Halo 5 won't be four players split screen either...who can say, the game is a year away. Thanks for this thread, I downloaded the Beta myself but I haven't got to play it yet. Time to go turn on my Xbone today. :)
