So you may have ideas of what types games Im into, I will list the games I have for my 360: Halo 3, Call of Duty 4, The Orange Box, GTA IV, Soulcalibur IV, Street Fighter IV, Prototype, Fable 2, Lost Planet Colonies, Left 4 Dead, Blazeblue, Rock Band 2, and Sonic Unleashed. Downloaded games: Sonic 1, Sonic 2, Sonic 3, Garou Mark of The Wolves, Triggerheart Excelica, The Dishwasher: Dead Samurai, and Guilty Gear X2 #reload. Upcoming games I want: Batman Arkham Asylum, Dark Void, Halo 3: ODST, Brutal Legend, Tekken 6, Left 4 Dead 2, Modern Warfare 2, Darksiders, Castlevania Lords of Shadow, Lost Planet 2, and Halo Reach. *I know 8 of these I could get for the PS3.

if you have a nice hdtv. ps3 is worth it for movies and to play ps3 exclusives. not 400-500 worth it unless u got that mgs4/kz2 bundle other wize wait till price drop

well, I spent 599 US dollars to play Ninja Gaiden Sigma but EVENTUALLY got my money's worth. lol, I own all the systems, but if that's all he wants for PS3 then don't buy one.

And if you are unsure about buying a PS3 just ask yourself, "will I have time for another console?". My answer to this question is "No", which is why I don't have a 360.
And some PSN stuff. That should hold you over until the holidays when the flood comes in.

You just listed 3 of my favourite games this gen (excluding MGS4). And if you're looking for an online experiance make sure you pick up Resistance 2, Warhawk and MAG (when released). Oh and TC if you're interested in Uncharted, then remember the hugely improved sequel shall be releasing this fall.:D

Infamous is cool, but not 9.0 worth IMO. I really didn't like Killzone 2. I though MGS4 was a great game, just not my thing. R&C was good. LBP was cool too. resolution- you would think that the PS3, the "true hd" machine could do 1080p, but 99% of games only go to 720p. 360 has a built in upscaler which works better than most tvs.
blu rays- too expensive. With red box, netflix and netflix instrant streaming DVDs are still king. 360 can upscale DVDs to 1080i, which is good enough.

Are the exclusives overrated by the professional reviewers as well? It's not just cows that say they are good. Exclusive games is one of the PS3s strong points. Investing in first party development is one thing Sony has done really well. Blu-ray probably depends on how much you like movies, but I think Blu-rays are worth it if you really like the movie. Some movies like Transformers, Iron Man and Batman are well worth the little extra for Blu-ray. If you don't like Blu-ray that's fine too though the PS3 is really good with DVDs too.

LOL I've always wondered how I play some DVDs on my 360 and it looks so good. And I though "wait.....this dvd aint hd nor blu-ray so wth?" XD! Anyways. I change my mind. I cant really afford a new console. I have 2 consoles and 1 handheld and for me, its enough. I have a lot of games and theres a lot that I want for just the 360 alone. XD!

Um, end of 2008 was Gears 2, Left 4 Dead, Mirror's Edge, Banjo, etc. 2009 has been a little slow but should pick up near the holidays.

I plan on getting a PS3, later this gen. After a price drop and all the AAA games are dirt cheap. Games I plan on getting: The Last Guardian, FF vs. XIII, GOW3, LBP, Modnation, MGS 4 (maybe), Uncharted 1 & 2. Also possibly a few other games that I'm just overlooking.

The same will happen for you. It's not like Master Cheif is gonna get mad at you if you enjoy a game of Killzone or somthing. You'll still love your 360. But you'll be able to get all kinds of awsome games-most of em for cheap too! And even if you aint a big movie buff It's nice to have that crispy bluray option. Personally I think that KZ2 MGS4 bundle is leet, but it might be sold out already.
Why don't you just get a PC? Arkham Asylum, L4D2, MW2, LP2 are going to look lightyears ahead of the PS3 on a PC, whereas the PS3 and 360 are going to look virtually identical. On top of that, you get the real communities in L4D2 and MW2, dedicated servers, mods, etc? - If you're going to drop $400 on a console that is virtually identical to what you have, why not instead drop $600 and get a system that's actually better?
