There's only 3 game this gen that scored 10 here on GS, it's GTA IV, MGS 4, and SMG 2 (all of them are sequels) And then the'res only 1 game that won GOTY here, it's MGS 4 So, according to Gamespot Metal Gear Solid 4 is the best game this gen... Well, after I played it, I kind of agree, if theres any of you who still didn't see the macrowave sequence, it truly the most memorable moment this gen Do you agree?
I can pretty much agree with this, except I liked Demon's Souls a bit more, only cuz I enjoy the genre more than MGS's one, but it definitely has the second please for me.
GotY is relative. MGS4 may have been Game of 08,but nothing says that it's better than RDR. After all, RDR beat SMG2; it could hypothetically beat MGS4 too.
Scores aren't a fool-proof method of determining superiority, even if you just look at GotYs.

It happened because lots of people with good taste said the game was GAME OF THE YEAR.

So not only did Gamespot say MGS4 was GOTY, but they also said the game was a perfect 10.
Sorry, but if anyone can't deal with that, perhaps going to MTVgames.com or SPiketvgames .com is a better option.

I have never played Heavy Rain so I don't know about that but I thought it was meant to be played like that since the beginning so why would people complain?

out of those games I'll have to say mgs4. one thing i don't understand is how RDR made it up there at all.. quite frankly i found the game quite boring.
