Now if you want almost all the same stuff the ps3 has you are looking at $739 for the Elite with hdmi and the HD DVD player to make the hdmi even worth while. and a Game if its your first buy. The premium ps3 is $600 with a hdmi cable its $30 more and then a games is 60 to so thats $690? What happen to the better for cheaper? and the fact is they are wanting to like upgrade the cpus for Halo 3? and i heard halo 3 is gonna cost like 120? what the heck are they thinking. i wouldnt be suprised if people just sell their 360s and get ps3s or wii's at least Sony and Nitendo are consistent. not to mention cheaper now.
No but they will need to be "upgraded" if you want to play "halo 3" so say people that love xbox. and this is for the people that bought the 360 in hopes of amazing graphics that component really wont deliver and the fact they just add crap then make a whole new system? it's dumb talk about bad logic it would have been more cost affective to just build whem with hdmi in the first place. and have them use a Sata instead of their crap that they are charging way to much for

The $479 Elite, if anything, will bring more people over to Microsoft. This "Teh Xbox 360= pwned!" stuff is ridiculous. Get a life and face it, the future of gaming up against a George Forman grill with bad games and a "teh innovation" system with horrible graphics? I'm 100% certain that at some point along the line there will be a game(s) which take advantage of the bigger HDD(Expect one of the games to be Halo 4). Now the consumers option is to either buy the Elite at $480,or upgrade their premium HDD for $180,meaning that the consumer would have paid $580($20 less than the Premium Ps3). If you ask me,with inbuilt wi-fi,card-reader,blu-ray,free online,and amazing titles(some of which will be out by years end),spending $20 more for a true next-gen experience is the best choice for a gamer.
Amazing how much people don't read. The end to the console war wont be for at least a year to a year and a half why are people so dumb. even then Wii will probably win. All this crap is based on sales and so far wii is the cheapist now ps3 is second and 360 keeps climbing

Ms have won?If that's the case then why the new 360 with the Ps3 shadow :wink: ? The Nintendo Wii will pass it in sales by August,and considering the Wii has been out for only 4 months,regardless of whether it has good graphics or not,is an achievement for Nintendo in the short run. Expect all competitors to be trembling in their boots when the Ps3 gets the eagerly awaited price drop.

So far M$ has no layalties to its base with Vista or Xbox. Sucks for sure. I think they could do so much better but thats what happens when you get a god complex
