Sigh, here we go again...goblaa
Uh..mo they don't..they already winning this gen.. even though i don't like it..
Go Wii!!!
Make a system next gen that competes with the looks of other games in the graphics department, I know graphics aren't everything as I still play saturn, and nes and all that, but the past two gens there systems have not been that advanced on the technical side, Idk don't get me wrong nintendo is a good company, but I think they could atract more third party developers if they uped the visuals next timemillerlight89
the gamecube was more powerful than the PS2.
the gamecube had great tech for its time
nintendo have always had powerful consoles, this is the first time they didn't
mainly because the wii was a risk, and they wanted to sell it at a cheaper price .. the decision has been a huge success
i have no idea what nintendo will do next gen .. they might try a similar approach, a cheaper console, to increase sales

Yes they were. The N64 and Gamecube had superior graphics than their competitors.

I agree that the gamecube was at least as powerful as the PS2 if not better, but I don't think the N64 was as powerful as the Playstation.

FAIL. Gamecube was better than the PS2 and the N64 was pretty much equeal to the PS1.

PS2 was the weakest Console last gen except for the Dreamcast but the Dreamcast still looked better then some PS2 games, N64 was twice as powerful then the PS1, because the PS1 was 32 Bit Graphics and the N64 was 64 Bit. The only reason the PS1 looked better in some cases was the PS1 had a lot of games that featured Pre-rendered backgrounds and the N64 had alot of the stuff done in real-time.Also TC Nintendo already said there next console will be HD.

Ahahhah! No.
N64 was much more powerful. It's weird how Nintendo's image seems to be a maker of underpowerd consoles this gen, when the only underpowered console they have made is Wii.
next gen nintendo only needs a slightly better hardware then the 360,ps3 so they can sell it for low price with improved motion controls +nintendo quality games.
The next step is third partys starting port over ALL their top titles with motion controls too save money :) but the graphic difference are not that big next time.
sony or microsoft on the other hand MUST improve there console more than just a Little bit or people start thinking they only want there money :)

The N64 had 64 bits of graphics. the PS1 had 32 bits witha 3D accelerometer. N64 pretty much destoys iti really do wish nintendo just stuck to their original ways, get rid of all the motion crap, and make more like how the n64 was, a solid fun console , with fun games, donkey kong 64,mario 64, mario kart 64,1080 snow bording, yoshis story, nintendo used to be alot more fun.jeezers
The motion control can be great if well implemented. Its just that 3rd party developers just don't take it too serously. Thats why you never have control problems with Nintendo games.
i could care less about the motion, orcarina was better than twighlight, mario 64 was better than galaxy , and those diddnt have motion .jeezers
Actually, I found mario 64 to have a load of flaws, even for it's time. Mario galaxy I think is better than mario 64, logical thinking ahead and stupid nostalgia asside.

The Gamecube was more powerful than the PS2 and it was nearly on par with the Xbox, the N64 was also more powerful than the Playstation. Please Log In to post.
