I think ppl who shop at Amazon.com are confused. (Halo 3 and PS3)

Now halo 3 is top selling game at amazon, but shouldnt the console be picking up also since it is close to release date? shouldnt the number one console being sold right now should be a 360 and not a ps3? i think we shouldat least seeing the 360 in the top 5 due to halo 3. http://amazon.com/gp/bestsellers/videogames/ref=pd_ts_vg_nav/102-5576286-6174534

well where im from, the people who wanted halo 3 have already bought the system. which might explain the not so huge boost in sales. but i know for sure there will be a boost when the game comes out, but not the kind you're expecting

I've always disliked amazon being used as judgement of sales. Remember the thread "Lair is outselling Halo 3 pre-orders on amazon!!"

It turned out that was just because interest had spiked as you could buy Lair and folk lore together for 70 bucks.

Also in response to the actual topic, i think you'll find xbox 360 sales would only spike as a result of casual gamers. I doubt many people have halo 3 on pre-order who dont already have a 360. I think you'll find 360 sales do spike the day it comes out as people pick up a 360 to play it.

That is, if halo 3 is as big as microsoft hope it is.
