First of all, you can't get people here to agree on anything. Second, that's just stupid. Developers won't ever max out a console in the time constraints of a generation. New methods come out all the time that streamline developing. PS3 just happens to have better tools right now than 360.

we can agree that this topic failed :P
and theres also a article on the net stating that uncharted 2 maxes out the ps3. gears 2 and uc2 are 1 year staggered, as with the console release. so by your logic the consoles both got maxed out in the same time frame, making them identical in power.mtradr43
well, thats the end of this topic
TOUCHE!
I'm confused, how do the levels work?
I'm a level 36 with only 2274+ posts
the TC is a level 16 with 4140+ posts
how does that work? :|
I know off topic, sorry!
no... you fail. Gear 2 came out in 2008. Epic said that the 360 still has power to spare, And you can't get a decent length game using the 360's full power on a single disc. It would wined up being an amazing looking 3-5 hour game- so the 360 is only at about 50% full power with gears. Besides Cows should stop using Gears 2 as an example that game was on a very tight sechedule (andepic was working onanother project durringGear's Dev time-1.8 years (thats only about 50 people working on the game)) Kz2 has had 180+ people put 5 years of work put into it.
dont forget that there has been no high profile 360 game that has had an engine built from the ground up for it like kz2 has. halo reach is rumored to have a brand new engine from scratch, in which case we may see something great.no... you fail. I hope that game looks sick- I absolutely love halo (but hate throwing it to the sky) and seeing it have similiar graphics as Halo wars cutescene would just make me a happy gamer for the rest of the Gen. I've heard it will use Dx 11 tessalation (not full DX 11- built on DX 10, I think, but with DX 11 tessalation ) I seriously want that game to look good , and does anyone know if it will have offline versus? all halo games did so far, and I hope it doesn't change.[QUOTE="mtradr43"][QUOTE="mayceV"]dont forget that there has been no high profile 360 game that has had an engine built from the ground up for it like kz2 has. halo reach is rumored to have a brand new engine from scratch, in which case we may see something great. i dont see why it wont have all that and then some for mp. i wouldnt be surprised if it also included firefight as well, not counting any new things they concoct by then.
I didn't get Gears 2 until '08. How'd you get it a year early? The Ps3 had a year more development time like the original xbox did. I would hope it has an edge, as the xbox did on PS2.cainetao11The difference between the Xbox and the PS2 was pretty drastic! The difference between the 360 and the PS3 is almost nonexsistance.
