Why is it now that Microsoft acquired Ninja Theory, everyone is suddenly praising movie games?

Xbox fanatics trash Hellblade before it went to the Xbox, now Ninja Theory are gaming gods.

My dear man, the art of the console war involves the downplaying of the opposing sides' games and features in an unchecked battle of hypocrisy until they end up on the receiving end. Xbox gamers seem to have this down to a tee this gen.

Except Hellblade isn't a movie game, it's a walking simulator and a good game at that. Ninja Theory is all but making movie games.

I don't even think Hellblade was a movie game. It had combat. Movie games don't have combat.

Big difference between games with cinematic cutscenes, and full-on "movie games".

I don't hate them, but they do get boring very fast if the story isn't just fantastic. What's even worse is when the game play is meh, the story is meh, and they still make you repeat a stupid linear section because you jumped for the wrong rock like in Uncharted games.

Thankfully there's just about no end to the variety of games you can play (on PC at least).

I haven't played Hellblade, but Ninja Theory's other games aren't really movie games. They're all hack n' slash games with some cut-scenes.

Not everyone, I still dislike movie games and I'm not the only one, ninja theory didn't change that, just like quantum break didn't change that.

The vast majority of posters on SW are pure hypocrites just like politicians. Since I own all of the systems, I do not have to play that game. I'm mostly here for the laughs when fanboys rage for one plastic box over another. It really is amusing to see.

This is something I don't get here. Why is everyone (well cows really) freaking out over Ninja Theory joining MS all of a sudden? Until we see Ninja Theory actually make a Xbox/Windows exclusive game at first hand, I see no point in freaking over this.

In short, Ninja Theory joining MS means little now until they deliver. Hellblade as a movie game? It's a walking simulator but a very good game. How did you guys mix it up with movie game?
