I guess you're right. There are a tonne of double standards when it comes to both games. Its basically the underdog story. BF3 is the underdog taking down the giant of COD. So people want to see it happen. Some people also feel like COD is passed its glory and BF3 deserves the limelight more. Maybe the healthy competition will wake up COD dev's and next time it will be a completely new game

Its not an underdog story :| BF is a multi-million dollar franchise with many games under its wings. People bash MW3 ANY chance they get and praise BF3 or make excuses.Viper-Kid said one thing about BF3 beta and look what happened ? He got jumped on by BF fanboys just because he has a different opinion.
Yeah sure they are multi million companies. But one has to be smaller than the other and its just so happens that DICE are WAY smaller than the COD guys.It makes DICE's multi million company seem a lot smaller. People see COD as been recycled and the same thing but they see BF3 as totally new. So they want BF3 to do better and be better because they feel like it deserves it more. That I think IS an underdog story. The fact that any game could come and shake up the COD camp so much. People will like COD again when it changes its ways and provides something fresh. People can't sfford many games anymore and they don't want to buy MW3 because it might be the same thing re done again. But BF3 looks new (even if its not) so they feel like it deserves their money more.
LOL WUT ? :| If that were anywhere near true MW3 wouldn't outsell BF3 this holiday season. MW3's going to outsell and score well because:A. People enjoy the game and find a lot of value in the yearly product.
B. Its not trash like a lot of people like to tell themself it is
BF3 is deff making some headway and pushing the genre (graphically) into a new era but to say that people will all ofa sudden stop playing MW3 and hop on BF3 is wishful thinking.
