I tried the WiiU at Best Buy - Not impressed.

The demo was Rayman and I really wasn't feeling the controls. I don't know guys, going by my impression, I think you should cancel your preorders.

I remember trying the PS3, 360 and Wii before their launches - wasn't impressed.

But I sure enjoyed them all in the long run.

What are you guys expecting from a Kiosk with a game demo? To be blown away? lol

A console is only as good as its library. Its something that happens over time.

I did the same a few days ago, but generally I liked the flexibility of the control inputs but the biggest impression I gleaned from my hands-on was how bulky the controller was and how uncomfortable it was to hold. I can't imagine that supplanting the traditional gamepad for most developers, but I am keeping an open mind. I played Rayman, which was fine, but felt incredibly similar to Legends and didn't feel like it was much to go by.

After that, I tried to go back to the home menu but the thing froze up and the reset button even wouldn't do anything. Ha.

So people should call off their pre-orders because YOU weren't impressed? Not everyone is going to have the same thoughts, you know. :|

The only thing im dissapoitned by is their choice of game. Rayman is cool and all but it doesnt showcase the system, I mean Vita can play that game and look that good (see Origins, gorgeous).

I don't think so. I shall keep my Wii-U pre-order with Nintendo Land and Zombie-U. But thanks for your highly descriptive hands-on impressions I really learned a lot about the Wii-U. Thank you very much.
