Wow, Haze used to look like something special, but now it is coming off as a sub-par FPS.scooter681exactly how I feel. looks very mediocre
Timesplitters says hi?FREE RADICAL has never made a good game (IMO not counting GE or PD) so it's not exactly shocking this one doesn't appear to be good.

LoL why wouldn't you count their two best games? And you forgot Timesplitters. I agree Haze looks like garbage but don't call out Free Radicals track record.
couldn't look more generic and forgettable if it tried, oh and there is a new preview up on gametrailers for those still interested in this game. Sorry to hate on a unreleased game, but from the get go this game failed to ignite one spark of interest in me.
If I'm wrong and the game is good then I apoligize to the devs for being a hater :)
I'll go ahead and sum up the majority of this thread in a translation from fanboy speak to the real meaning.
"I used to want to like Haze because back then it was coming to my system and Sony fanboys couldn't throw it into my face about it being exclusive to their system. Now that it is exclusive to the PS3, the fanboy in me is obligated to bash and hate it."

So they haven't made a good game beside the two best ones that they have made? Great logic lol
RARE made those games not FREE RADICAL. I hated TIMESPLITTERS 1&2.

Because back then they were rare. Every Rare developer didn't jump over to FR, Free Radical should be judged by there own games, not by there past ones.

Incorrect. I own a PS3 and still think the same. Sorry, but don't generalize, bud.
Free Radical's really stuck with this one. On one hand, it needs more time to cook in the oven. But on the other hand, it'll never succeed if it's released around or after Resistance 2 and Killzone 2.BioShockOwnzIts current release date is between GTAIV and MGS4 so the game is not in a good situtaion .

Well, neither of those are FPS's, so it's not really direct competition in a sense.

Except Free Radical hasn't gone smack talking, neither has Insomniac. If anything went smack-talking crazy after creating a successful game it's GeoW2 :P

Indeed...
"in Haze you become an adult."
From what I've seen and read about HAZE, I don't know what the heck he's talking about. Maybe the story will end up being something "more", but everything I've seen and read so far doesn't make that "claim" seem very truthful.

htf is r2 in daikatana mode?
Using Bungie's blastacular Halo 3 as an example, Haze scriptwriter Rob Yescombe believes that "while Halo is brilliant, you're a teenager - the next-gen is about becoming more mature," explaining that "in Haze you become an adult."
Speaking to Edge magazine, Yescombe stresses that it should become the responsibility of developers to move towards more mature subject matter, using world events as inspiration. "It's about what's happening in the world today - it's ludicrous, and how can you make something that doesn't reflect that? Well, you could bury your head in the sand and make Halo 3, but the fact of the matter is there are more important things at stake." "
If there is one thing I hate, it's devs that talk trash.

Haha. You're still generalizin dood. And it's a really weak defence.
I feel bad for the dev's when people bad-mouth their games so much. It's like they work real hard on something they like and everyone just says sub-par this, boring that etc.
And while I do agree that it doesnt look like its breaking records or being a new Half Life 2, it could still be a fun game and I think thats what the dev's are mainly going for anyway instead of trying to be a halo killer.

I guess it's about time Free Radical gets a taste of their own medicine, eh?

I havent read anything about Free Radical bad-mouthing but if they have then oh well, i meant all dev's in general, atleast the ones who dont trash-talk.

They said their story is a mature, adult story but they haven't trash talked on the gameplay yet :P
Maybe they can't..but it looks solid in my eyes.
Solid but unspectacular.
People need to realize that the gameplay videos from April 3rd do look pretty bad. But that those videos don't do the game justice. The new preview and past gameplay videos were so much better than those piece of crap videos released on the 3rd.DisgaeaNub
:|
It's the same build. Gametrailers just edited it all together neatly for their preview. If anything the April 3rd videos do it more justice.
