I actually haven't played a "Max Payne" game since the first one--and I did finish it. I didn't check out the second one though, mainly because the first one scared me to death during that dream part where I was running up an endless hallway with blood everywhere and reliving the death of that crying baby with the floating toys who wouldn't shut the heck up ..... it was something along those lines I think. But yeah, a third installment would be nice. I hope it keeps that dark and disturbing feel the first one had though.

It was the drugged levels, and Max Payne's dead baby crying on the background, yeah, that was really freaky. But MP2 isn't scary at all.
I don't. I think the second one ended nicely and sealed up all the plot holes enough to not need another one. A remake of the first two with smoother, less clunky gameplay with the same cutscenes would be fantastic.
I was like WTH!? Max Payne 2 was better than the original imo. It received a 9.0 from GS. That means it's superb.
Anyway, I would like a Max Payne 3 also. Those games are awesome.

Max Payne 2 had easily the better gameplay. Max Payne 2 had easily the better story and character development. Max Payne had the superior presentation.

I agree, I thought that the second game lost most of the charm that the first had.
