I was going to buy a 360 but i looked and it hade a DVD no 8cell and no blu ray . it looks like the 360 was falling behind but the games. then i looked at the ps3 and it had r2 mgs4 lbp and god of war 3 so???????????????????????????????

I fail to see if this is a question or if you are remarking upon something. Also if you only bought the 360 to play DVD's that was a mistake. On top of that if you where trying to conclude that the 360 plays DVD's and the PS3 does not that is completely wrong. Both of the systems play DVD's and they also have their exclusives. The 360 plays HD-DVD's and the PS3 has Blu-Ray. It has been widely accepted that the HD-DVD has lost the battle and the Blu-Ray is the disc format of the future.
Further I own both systems, they are GAMING systems, and that is how they should be handled. I enjoy both for their exclusive content and use my DVD player and my Blu-Ray player for movie playing.

First off, it HAS most of those games, not had. However, in advance, I apologize to my future PS3 for the bashing I must reign down upon this poor soul. A hem, God of War 3 isn't even out yet, PS3 is more expensive, 360 is wiping the floor with PS3 in terms of sales, b-b-bu teh blu-raydoesn't really make a huge difference in most games that's out for it, and I dearly hope that you figure out that your logic is extremely flawed in this thread.

Hhhmm.. so? There are move DVD movies in the world then Blu-Ray movies. I can play all DVD movies upscaled to 1080P on my PS3 or XBox 360. Why do care? You would buy a XBox 360 to play Gears of War 2, Halo 3, Halo Wars, Lost Odyssey, Fable 2, Forza 2, Kameo, N3, Ace Combat 6, Tales of Vesperia, Star Ocean, Infinite Undiscovery, The Last Remnant, Naruto: Broken Bonds and any of the other exclusives that you can't play on the PC or PS3

A dvd upscaled to 1080 doesn't touch a blu ray movie, and those games all suck **** I'd rather play Socom, Motorstorm, MGS4, LittleBigPlanet, F1 Racing, Uncharted, Heavenly Sword, Resistance 2, GT5P, Warhawk, Rub a Dub, Valkyria Chronicles, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Ratchet and Clank, and the soon to be released Killzone 2. Also the 360 can't even stay alive for longer than a month, which would render my annual Live subscription useless.

DVDs are so much better then blu ray. there is more DVDs then blu ray. dvds look as good as blu ray if u don't have a HD tv. the 360 plays video games, good ones to.

Blu Ray... sounds like the name of a deep see diving robot or something. And HDTV just means a big flat screen that produces twice as much heat and sucks up twice as much elelctricity as a regular TV.

I started to listen to all the people on here and started to think that blu ray didn't matter and that it was a useless addon to the ps3, but today I got a chance to watch transformers and the dark knight on blu ray at my cousin's house and I'm sold, two face's face was so real to me like he was in the same room, when I saw the movie at theatre I wasn't disgusted but when I saw it on blu ray, I was going to throw up.

You come on over to my place, I can show you the difference between SDTV and HDTV very clearly. And I can even show you how broadcast HD is inferior to Blu-Ray disc quality as well if you'd like.

Exactly. What is the big deal with a HD format for most movies? Aside from special effect heavy titles. Why watch meet the parents or 21 grams on blu ray? I can see the actors emotions just fine on DVD.
