i was shocked to say the least (but not a wii bash)

saw house of the dead running on a wii today. dear god it looks awful, i mean real bad, like top end N64 bottom end ps2. who on earth can defend that kind of tripe

It looks better then even top end N64...

Sorry House of the dead one is a Saturn Game... no wonder it doesn't look as good as N64 games, house of the dead 2 is better.

I actually picked up House of the Dead 2 & 3 the other day and I rather enjoy it. Sure the graphics are bad but its an older game that was ported over to the Wii and it brings back some great memories of playing in the arcade and playing on the DreamCast with my buddy when we were younger. Sure they could have updated the graphics and all, but they wanted the actual game experience, and not everything that comes out needs the most amazing graphics in the world. The bad graphics, terrible voice acting, and all that add a certain charm to the games that without them it would just feel like the games were missing something.

at first i thought this game was for the VC but then i read that it is an actual wii game (even so it's a port).

the first thing that comes to mind when seeing this is WOW...that looks sooo terrible.

sheep have set their standards alot lower this gen simple. if i played galaxy and brawl then turned around and saw bass fishing or house of the dead, my wallet would tell sega to eat a ****. its like no more heroes. they loved that trash when the wii is more then able to make ninja gaiden graphics. they protect it and say artstyle. whatever floats their boat i guess.prodiqy32

We loved No More Heroes because yes, it is an artstyle, and also because a game isn't all about graphics. Reviews should tell you that that was an excellent game.

OH no we can't trust GS scores anymore they gave NMH's a 9.0, when it's trash!... Or maybe it's not... because the gameplay is awsome.

I have yet to see anyone say House of the Dead has good graphics. And yes NMH did have it own art style. I don't know how many people in here read comic books but there is an artist named Sam Keith a number of people might know him has the guy who did Max. But in comic book format you loved or hated his art. Because his art had it own style most people loved it but there were a lot like myself which could not stand is style.

That looks like crap IMO. But to some people he one of the best artist ever.

Red Steel looks worse than a N64. Bond on 64 blows it away.

Wow, all of you are so terribly confused. This is a DIRECT ARCADE PORT of the arcade software. Supposedly, they added a couple little bonuses and made it work with the Wiimote, but that's why this looks bad. Because it looks exactly like the ARCADE version, intentionally. That's like critcizing Super Mario Brothers for only being a side-scroller.

Btw, to be able to play a pair of authentic arcade classics for $30 at home with a friend = Great deal. Even better if I get it on sale.

Mmmmm, well you are going to have your ups and downs on each console, and Wii isn't renown for having fantastic graphics...-SEBi-

That and a direct port of a decade old game are going to have poor graphics on any system.
