The Wii is going to need alot more than sales. The system is terrible and I own one, I never buy games for it much like a few friends I know that have one. I only ever play Wii bowling the once every month or so I actually turn the stupid thing on. I don't care if it outsells the other two superior consoles combined the Wii will still be a piece of junk with no games.
With the numbers M$ is still dead last without useing the PS3 numbers. Because the PS2 is still out selling the 360 and has a much larger user base. With this the PS3 sales could count as bonus sales over the 360.
I'm amazed someone can hate a video game or electronics company. If you want to hate a corporation there are plenty out there more deserving that are dumping chemicals into our water and poisoning our air everyday.
The ps3 is still $500 with hardly any exclusive games or "big" games to really push the system and it almost sold as much as a system that is $300 , $400 , and $480 with big games and a good library in its strongest territory.
Estimates have the ps3 outselling the 360 on a worldwide basis weekly (whether how accurate that is ...is another story).
In conclusion , I don't think trumped is the right word. I think that is cause for concern when a system should be beating another one based on content and price advantage and it can't.

Meaningless... the Halo series defined the 360 and outright sold the console, once Halo 3 comes out Sony doesnt have a hope in hell of catching the 360 this gen, even if it remains competitive, at this rate it will take the PS3 until 2027 to catch up.
I'll mark my calendar so I can toss your fanboy words back in your face after Sony's worldwide popularity eventually pushes it past the 360 in sales. You're pretty pathetic if you hope a console fails for such childish reasons.
