I normally don't answer hypothetical questions, but I will this time.
Maybe.It really all depends.Most likely.
But it's not,so we have to deal with it.
If the wii had the graphical power of those 2 systems AND motion control (aka innovation) than yah, i would pay that much if not more.MaTT2011

actually I did make it kind of broken. Nintendo don't sell their systems at loss. And it would cost more. The Wii would probably cost 550$Â

So are you talking about a Wii with a souped up GPU/CPU that equalled that of the 360s?
Â
YeahÂ
I would spend 450 for my Wii. I basically did on launch :P but that was getting 3 games and extra Wii remote
But if it was the console alone for 450, I would. And I'm serious. Its just that Nintendo Consoles I've owned always leave lasting impressions on me. Well 1st party games from Nintendo, and thats what I like. Last two gens the main systems for me was the PS1 and PS2. But I mean I look back and sure there were some great titles for it like FFX, Kingdom Hearts, and Ratchet and Clank. But it just didnt leave a lasting impression.
Nintendo has more personality.
i'd rather it had the capabilities of the 360 (not just graphics and physics etc, but online, hard drive and other stuff too) and be $450 (probably £300ish here), rather than have what it has at the moment and be $250 (£180 here).
i doubt nintendo would make it more expensive than the PS3 or 360 though (premium 360 anyway).
i would love to see the next zelda and metroid (and others) in true HD with amazing next gen graphics. but ill just have to wait til next gen for my favourite games to look that good. hopefully the leap (graphics wise) for nintendo's next console will be huge and the graphics will rival/be better than PS4's and the next xbox's. we'll be spoilt! haha. overly detailed zelda!
i think this generation for nintendo is just to get their "foot in the door" (so to speak) once again with a more affordable, accessable and fun console that everyone can enjoy. Then next generation, they will get back to us hardcore gamers big style. while still retaining their big casual gamer following they have at the moment hopefully.
so hopefully the company will be confident enough to focus on both types of gamer big time.
and not going on so much about "getting your grandma to play wiisports!".

I own a Wii right now. If the Wii were like you suggest, I would not.
I consider anything above $300 per console as too expensive. Nintendo or not,
$450 for a console is just too much for me.Hoffgod

Love the honesty.Â

In my humble opinion, it would have been better buy. If Wii would have had bigger hard-drive, possibility of having CD-based consoles on the virtual console service would likely increase, including, however not limited to the likes of Sega Saturn and Sega Dreamcast.
Plus, if would have had more powerful graphics, I would imagine that currently, we would not be recieving all of these last generation ports (with practically most everyone one of them, including Twilight Princess, being lazy ports) of mostly "older" games (I am looking at you Ubisoft).
Though, with that being said, if library would have been unchanged, I would still not suggest into on others: right now, unless you are fanatic of virtual console goodness (i.e. I am), for my liking, it is rather clear that it is lacking in good quanity and variety of games (in another words, at the moment, regardless of the excuse or reasoning, it is reiking of N64 and GCN otter).

i think i would buy, but i would buy later in the wii's life when it has a good game base, i def wouldn't buy at launch like i did
First im a lemming who has a wii and loves the nintendo 1st party games. yes i would buy the wii, i bought every nintendo console since snes(when i started gaming). anyway i guess ur point is even sheep want graphics. well yes we all do. but the wii is stronger than xbox 1(although the games dont show it, but thats all developers fault not the hardware). and the wii provides something different, im glad it does because then the wii would get the same kinds of games as PS3 and 360. I like how its different from the rest. Once the devs hit how to use the wiimote correctly, we will see amazing things from the wii. I have no problem with the wii not being the strongest, its not my primary console, its my secondary to my 360.
Oh by the way, do u do anything other than bash nintendo.
