It was worth it. If the ps3 had A better game libray I wouldn't care to spend the money but I just think right now the ps3 doen't deserve my $600 dollars but id along the road the ps3 shows true primise mybe then I will get one. It is part of my struggle I want a ps3 but The 360 seems to have proven itself more. I think though in the long run the ps3 is a better deal considering free interent gaming(wether or not psn is good or bad is not all that relavent) I for sure without a doubt would buy a 360 if it had free online like the ps3 but it doen't so i'm not sure which console to pick.

If blu ray was worth it, then the PS3 is already worth it. Unfortunately, I don't think that Blu Ray will be a factor in the near future. I plan on going Wii60 after a price drop, because that's all the games I need, and it would cost less than a PS3.

600 = Too much for a console. Thats all there is too it. I have owned every Nintendo console, ever, BUT if they brought out a 600 $ console......no more.

look the PSN vs. xbox live argument is kida pointless the price difference makes up(i mean the $200 you save from picking a 360) for a lot of it and with xbox live you can DL movies in HD making it worth it Imo.

I would suggest looking at the upcoming exclusive games for each system and see which one you are more excited for and then choose it. or say you still cant decide, just wait eventually an obvious choice will appear to you through the games both system release in the next 12 months.

Even if the PS3 had 50 games that I would play, I would not pay 699.99 CAD for the console itself. It is absurd.

Yes, the pricing of consoles todays and games are higher than they should be. What happen to reasonable prices like 50 dollars for games and under a half a grand for a system..

Right now in my opinion the PS3 is not worth the money but i believe that in the future PS3 can bring things to justify the price, but i also believe that, that may take a while.

At least your points are valid. I see a lot of ppl complain about the ps3 price when the xbox360 is actually more expensive (in the long run). The only that hurts the ps3 is the lack of games.

My last gen was a PS2 and i just can't find anything in this system that makes me want to keep it,Im thinking about sellin it!

$600 is too much for a video game console, even if it has a bazillion good games.

When you take into account inflation, the Atari cost $800

You should probably work on acquiring $600 first.

I'd spend that much for a blu-ray player if it becomes the standard(which I think it will), so I'd pay $600 just for the blu-ray player. Gaming system is a plus.

PS3 will only be worth the money if it is less than the 360.

I think that price is completely reasonable. I'd use my PS3 for Blu-ray movies just as much as games.
