if a "10$" cable is no big deal why didn't sony include it??

such an annoyance having to get online and order an hdmi cable for ps3.  i know you fanboys will come on here and say "it's just 10 dollers lol!!!!!!" Thats EXACTLY my point.  My friend for example has no hd tv, but he does bring it over here frequently and it would be nice to see games in hd but guess what it's not included so he had to order one.  to claim 'next gen doesn't start till we say so' and being the 'future of hd' or whatver it just ridiculous because they cant' even include hd cable.Friendlyfire53

It would have be nice , but when you are losing that much money on the console as they are , $10 here and there saved really starts to add up.

Why lose 10 more bucks on each console when the consumers who own HD TVs are a small minority?

10 bucks may not seem like a lot, but the PS3 has sold nearly 3 million at this point, so that's 30 million more dollars Sony would've lost, and only about a quarter of the people buying the PS3s would even use it.

Because it is a big deal to Sony. 10$*X number of PS3 sold may end of in the hundreds of millions.

No, to be fair, it is extremely easy to find ludicrously expensive HDMI cables.  Just go to Circuit City or Best Buy and look for the "Monster" brand.
