I'll sum it up.
Sony: Strategy for the future.
Xbox 360: HALO!
Wii: Sells too much.
I disagree, the Wii hit a huge market, and that will probably be the biggest seller.
360 vs PS3... well..
Well, I could say some crap about the PS3 having better graphical capabilities or having great games on the way. But when it comes down to it, the Wii has crappy graphical abilities and the 360 has great games like Halo and Mass Effect. Both systems, which are right now, outselling the PS3 and have been for a while. But you have consider Sony's strategy. Now I'm not going to lie to you and say something like I've been there since the beginning and I know exactly what Sony is up to, in fact I really only recently started to pay attention to the system wars even though I own all three of the PlayStations. Truly I am actually a minor, but that makes me no less intelligent. I just read the report of July's sales and I realized something. The PS2. That is the reason Sony will come out on top. The PS2. I mean the PS2 outsold the original Xbox quite well and now its even outselling the Xbox 360. I mean come on... with 120 million units sold worldwide and still holding third in total U.S. sales? The same U.S. that is suppose to be Xbox central? What are those people going to do when they stop making games for the PS2? Buy a 360? I don't think so. A Wii? Maybe, but why not just go for the system that can play all those PS2 games you spent your hard earned money on? Yeah, people aren't stupid, just resilient to move to a more expensive system right now. Just thought I'd say that. Take it however you want. Call me a Sony fanboy. Think that I am an idiot. I don't care. When it happens I'll be laughing. And so will those Sony executives that know their plan for world domination is slowly beginning to work.... On the other hand, look at what happened to Sega. Eh, food for thought.grimdagamer
well the U.S isn't exactly "xbox centeral," it's just the only country that the Xbox sells decently in (and by decently i mean OK). You make a good point that people are still buying PS2s more than they are buying 360s, and where those ps2 owners will go next year is up in the air. If they follow the games, PS3 should win hands down come 2008. If they follow the price, 360 will keep the lead. And by lead, i mean 2nd place, because the Wii won this gen.
good lord man, break it up into paragraphs. without reading I will go so far as to say that price alone will keep sony out of first this gen.
now that I've read, you should do some research, past sucess=/=future sucess, nintendo lost half of its market in one generation. I think sony is trying to one up them.
I was confident that Sony would win in 2005
I was confident that Sony would win in 2006
I lost confidence at E3 2006
I regained confidence in Q1 2007
Today I believe that Sony has a slim chance of winning (Microsoft would have to **** up badly )
If Sony doesn't pull of a E3 2007 X 20 at TGS this year...I see their 3rd party support taking a HUGE HIT.
It's PSTriple man. Come on say it with me. PSTriple...BumFluff122
lol I'll say it with you
PS Triple baby!
Well I do think PS3 will win in the end because of historical fact.
Historically, the console that had Final Fantasy franchise always was the market leader.
NES, SNES, PS1, and PS2.
So far, PS3 is the one that has legit numbered Final Fantasy game.
i beleive after a few years with the 360, you basically seen what it can pull off. i beleive that halo 3 will be the peak of 360 game development , basically im saying that i could only see itget worse or staying the same with future 360 releases.
Now the ps3 on the other hand you will see it increase dramatically, basically we havent seen what the ps3 is even capable of yet.... ps3 still has mountains of potential, its just a matter of time untill the right note is hit....
FYI...... i had 360 from day 1.................I has PS3 from day 1..................and just abouteveryone who bad mouths a ps3 either cant afforde it or cant buy 1 for some reason.
