Im sure ppl know about the rumors of cross game voice chat comming to PS3. But come on PS3 owners dont even use headsets anyway. Isn't in game messaging just fine?

The only real reason i'm playing online alot is because i get the full ride(free internet + free PSN) But based on that, i will never pay to play online or even getting my own ISP at that.

I talk to ppl with headsets when we play the same game and since is quiet nobady interfares. (we also mess with ppl) :P. When in diff games I prefer messaging cause its like text messaging and you can have 3 conversations going on at once

Actually it can happen alot. Say Im playing COD with one friend then someone on his friends list joins the party and so on. Unless you set your party to stricktly friends list friends only. But it is a good way to meet new friends reguardless of what you both may be playing.

Cross game chat isn't worth a new game a year. I will never pay for Xbox Live again. I got my PS3 and realized that for playing games PSN is equal or better in somecases (32 MP) and it's FREE like everyother console/handheld/PC. Infact the PSN store is alot easier to navigate than MS system and PSN game are better as well. I can believe I wasted over 100 bucks to play games online...it sound so ridiculous if you think about. Getting a PS3 will save me 50+ dollars a year.

All of those are wrong. Phfft... batman. :p Anyway, what is it with this "it's just a preference" or "more stream lined for developers" or "it comes with a headset so it's better" stuff?!? THE psn is better because it is FREE. Everything else is inconsequential, or rather, a joke. You don't need netflix, or crossgame voice chatting, or themes/avatars to play CoD 4 online. Yeesh!

Exactly my thoughts. I've had a 360 with Xbox Live since launch, and bought a WiFi adapter so realistically I've spent quite a bit more on my 360 than my PS3 for the same exact features...except my PS3 doesn't break.

I just still wish someone would explain to me why the fact more people on XBL have headsets is a good thing. I for one get so into a game that I am not able to carry on a conversation with someone else, also I find it extremely annoying when some guy is just being super obnoxious on his mic and I would just rather enjoy the sound of explosions and gunshots over some random guy singing Hot and Cold. Is there even a multiplayer game on consoles that is so teamwork based that a mic is justified?

its good and bad. its great if you can manage to talk to adults or people older than 14, which actually does happen. it sucks when it's all 12- year-olds yelling crap.

Yeah, most owners don't have a headset for PS3. Because they don't include them. For that hefty pricetag. Or a remote. But c'mon PSP107, I thought you call things right down the middle with a name like that.

I use this feature everyday, i have about 11 or 12 buddies on my freindlist that go to my school, we preety much all get on at night, so its common for us to have 3v3 4v4 or even if everyone is is on 6v6 matches, all talking to each other. Lets say me and 3 buddies wanna play online in halo3, we go into matchmaking for some big team battle, but we decide we dont wanna listen to these randomn people, just make a party and inv them to it. now you have your personal chatroom so that you and your freinds can play, if someone on my freinds freinds list wants to join it, he can jus join it.

keep an mind these people dont have to be doing the same thing, one can be watching movies, on on call of duty, 2 on halo, and one playin a demo. Its a great feature and i hope sony implements it, and build a standard mic for the ps3.

Teamwork doesnt happen on the PS3 a lot of the time, and a lot of it has to do with no one having headsets. So many times I wanna tell people how badly they're playing in Resistance 2 in the online co-op but I dont have a headset either.

I don't see how people CAN'T have a headset for the PS3. I got 2 Bluetooths from just buying PS3 games, one I got for my cell phone forever ago for $10, and you can use any standard USB headset. It's really not that difficult.

I play GTA4 and I speak to my cousin who's playing FAllout 3, that in my opinion is a very good feature no matter how you try to ignore it to make it seem worthless.

It's quite clear that XBL is becoming vastly over-priced for what it offers. When there is an equivalent service, at no cost, you really do need to up the game.

People can argue that the community is better, but that's a cop out. That isn't down to XBL, that's down to the fact that people with a 360 are more inclined to use the mics provided.

Actually, you need to stop spinning that it's vastly superior. It's not. In fact, there's very few features that separate them now.

The only discernible ones, with any real effect, are the party system and cross game chat. One of those which is to be added soon, apparently. Now ask yourself, in all honesty, is party system really worth a $50 price tag?

Yes because XBl only offers party chat, its offers alot more after use both PSN and XBL the differences are clear espcially since if offer a better experience when playing with friends so yes its worth it.

Please cows stop trying to Spin this XBL is suprior to PSN there's no two ways about, you say we dont care about features then you get them you celebrate like its the best since slice bread. Yes its Free great but if i wanted free id take public transport, drink tap water etc.yoyo462001

Actually, you need to stop spinning that it's vastly superior. It's not. In fact, there's very few features that separate them now.

The only discernible ones, with any real effect, are the party system and cross game chat. One of those which is to be added soon, apparently. Now ask yourself, in all honesty, is party system really worth a $40 price tag?
