If EA made a console?

Imagine that! The only console for Madden and NCAA football amongst other exclusives they own on thier console and no other. Well, over hear in the United States I think it would be a big deal cause of the football exclusives. What do you yall think?

They would own everything.

They could call it the Sportsstation

EA would probably start releasing a new Need for Speed every month with a new car added each time for $60. They will probably sell Madden with only two teams and then realease the 30 other teams as DLC and you will have to pay to buy each team.

Yeah, they would have an almost invincible sport games monopoly, but at the end of the day, how many people would choose Mdden over, Mario, Kratos or Marcus.

It would be a failure.

Sure they would have the money to back the system up, but right now everyone knows Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo, having a newcomer come to the game will seem weird for the uninformed consumer. they probably will choose the system that they heard of the most which would be Playstation or Nintendo.

EA making a console is really too awful to think about in any sort of depth, so I won't.

As much as I dislike the idea, I have to think that an EA console would be contender in the marketplace. A lot of console players LOVE sports games and EAs first party lineup would be strong overrall. If it happened, I think one of the console manufacturers would have to bow out within a couple generations. It could be EA or it could be one of the current players.

Does anyone else think they would be viable in the marketplace? I kind of get the feeling that no one shares my opinion on this.mattbbpl
