it's the same dang game, jesus people.VideoGameGuyIn the past same games have scored better on 360 due to graphics
Plus the 360 version is on 3 disks. Why werent these taken into account when scoring ?Internet-TrollBecause from what I've heard it's not noticeably better looking to most people unless you compare them side by side, 3 discs doesn't mean anything (ME2 for example), and....it's the exact same game.
[QUOTE="funsohng"]because those two advantages were not big enough of a factor to give ps3 version a 9.0 seriously, you are not the developer of the ps3 version nor a spokesman for sony (probably not), why should you be even bothered about this in first place?Internet-TrollI like to see scores point consumers into the right direction. That direction being the better version a healthy consumer who spends his or her money wisely always read the whole review in multiple sites to decide which version they will be getting. duh.
If it wasn't a .5 system then we might see an 8.7 and an 8.5 but the difference isn't enough to bump an 8.5 to a 9 or to knock an 8.5 to an 8.3

Sounds about right to me.
I thought the same thing about Dragon's Age and MLB 2K10, but GS still had different scores. Personally, I couldn't care less, I just wish GS would stay consistant. When you dock one game for slightly less visuals, you better do it to all.If it wasn't a .5 system then we might see an 8.7 and an 8.5 but the difference isn't enough to bump an 8.5 to a 9 or to knock an 8.5 to an 8.3

Read the reviews. In the case of FFXIII, the visual differences are considered negligible enough to maintain the same score for both versions of the game.
In the case of Bayonetta, the PS3 version was suffering from more issues than solely visuals when compared to the 360 version.
Read the reviews; and I can not stress this enough as both reviews explicitly rationalise the given scores for each version.
Bayonetta is interesting game in comparison with FF 13,sry fanboys but that is true.Now,FF13 on 360 looks nice,it looks better on ps3,actually cut scenes look considerably better, but in game its only res difference.Therefor same score, just like GTA IV...
Now if game had CGI gfx, that would not change a thing because the game is linear and very restricting. After playing ME2,i thought i play Gears or Uncharted,it IS NOT RPG.
Dont even try to compare Bayonetta inferiority on ps3 with FF13 on 360,because Bayonetta plays at twice less fps, loading times are unbarable and on top of that game looks wore on ps3.
How many multiplats were given different scores on GS?
Dragon age, Bayonetta and Orange box thats what I remember (Talking about multiplats which were released at same time) so why people act like GS gives the superior version a higher score even if the difference isnt big enough.

Your name says it all
Also COD MW2 on PC was better then Ps3 and 360 so why didnt that get higher scores? Because it didnt have dedicated servers? Neither did the console one!
it's the same dang game, jesus people.VideoGameGuybayonetta is the same game, though on ps3 it lost 1 whole point? whys that. if bayonetta loses a point then so should ff13 on 360

No, because the Ps3 bayonetta was considerably worse then the xbox one. The ff13 of PS3 isnt so much better then the Xbox one.

if there is difference then it should get lower points, 2, bayonetta runs fine now with the patch it got...but i dont agree with lowering points, i beleive a game is a game. if the game is the same it should get the same score...because small frame rate issues or graphical differences is not big enuf, if a game gets half the content then it should get a lower score, but like that, bayonetta should have scored the same, so should have dragons origins, fallout 3, orange box etcbayonetta is the same game, though on ps3 it lost 1 whole point? whys that. if bayonetta loses a point then so should ff13 on 360[QUOTE="planbfreak4eva"][QUOTE="VideoGameGuy"]it's the same dang game, jesus people.OB-47

With bayonetta, the ps3 version visuals worked worse than the 360 with frame rate problems and muted color. The xbox version of FF13 is just not as shiny as the ps3 version but still works and looks great.[QUOTE="OB-47"][QUOTE="planbfreak4eva"] bayonetta is the same game, though on ps3 it lost 1 whole point? whys that. if bayonetta loses a point then so should ff13 on 360planbfreak4eva

Probably if GS re reviewed Bayonetta after patch they will give it the same score or at least 8.5 because the long loading was the worst problem in Bayonetta PS3 version.

The differences in Dragon Age were even more minimal, but one managed to score lower.

No it's not. Why should a reviewer rereview a game that should at been at point at launch but was not. If it true that due to very late patches games should be rereview than every game should be rereviewed. Devs should have their stuff together form the games launch and if their is something off, have it fix quickly not month afterwards. They might have received the same score, but if you look at the awards that gamespot gave out for each game, the PS3 version got the super uber beautiful graphics award while the 360 version did not. Make of it what you will.
So GameSpot takes off a whole 10% when Bayonetta for the PlayStation 3 turns out to be inferior but with other cases proving the reverse, not even 5% is taken off. Strange.
Guess people forget about Dragon Age when it helps their argument. Please, none of this nonsense: Dragon Age was even more illogical as PS3 has better textures but 360 version had a smoother framerate, yet 360 version gets knocked down. It should have stayed the same like FF13.So GameSpot takes off a whole 10% when Bayonetta for the PlayStation 3 turns out to be inferior but with other cases proving the reverse, not even 5% is taken off. Strange.

Bayonetta's problems weren't just graphical. They were also technical. Bad framerate not keeping up with the action (It played smooth almost all the time on the 360 version with very little slowdowns) More screen tearing, LOADING when you pushed the PAUSE button, and even when you picked up items, and not to mention severly downgraded graphics with blurry textures and loss of colors. So GameSpot takes off a whole 10% when Bayonetta for the PlayStation 3 turns out to be inferior but with other cases proving the reverse, not even 5% is taken off. Strange.

this.
if they kept the old system the ps3 version would have gotten a 0.2-3 better score, that means the xbox360 version would have gotten a 8.2 or the ps3 version might have scored 8.7
