What do you think would be the reason? Lazy devs?
Also, what do you guys consider GTA IV graphics? good /decent / bad / etc...?

If anyone says this looks bad...they have fanboy googles on....
Look how detail the bridge is...
and I that to be great...if only the character were alittle better...
I would be disappointed since I want the PS3 version.
I think it's possible though considering they've already worked on Table Tennis 360 so they do have a background development for the console. On the other hand, they've been working on GTAIV for ages so I expect both versions to be very similar.

The only major difference between the two is what was seen in the previous GTAs. They have always been the same game on the PS2, PC, and Xbox, with the only difference being the Xbox and PC version had better graphics for the most part (GTA III looked better on the PS2 then on the PC). This time around I feel the PS3 may have the graphics advantage, however small it may be.

I honestly don't think the two will look different, at least not to a point where its very noticeable.

You think? Yeah, it's possible I suppose.
I don't think I'd really care if the PS3 version had better graphics or worse, as long as there wasn't a significant difference. I know "ownage" will be handed out to the side that has the worse version but again, doesn't bother me since both PS3/360 fans will be playing GTAIV, GOTY.

that's a very good mantra btw.
will, Rockstar did show concern regarding the core 360 since it does not have a harddisk. how is this gonna effect the game on the 360, i guess only time will tell.
but i think they'll look comparable for the most part. with the exception if there is a pc version coming later
Considering GTA4 was built from the ground up on the PS3, it will obviously be better, plus almost no load times and far more features. The 360 version of GTA4 will be massively downgraded compared to the PS3 version. Blu Ray is needed, especially considering how large the game will be and the high quality graphics will take up a lot of space.DSgamer64
lol, Fanboys are funny.
*starts chanting*
Bring it to PC! Bring it to PC! Bring it to PC!
I don't think it will really matter which version is better... the more people who get to play it, the better. :)

 as much as I agree with you, some people on these forums especially just don't need to play a game like GTA.
It will look exactly the same.
it will be develop with both consoles strengths and weakness in mind/
This is a mass market game..... believe it or not.

If the game looked better on the Xbox360 I wont not be shocked.

Yeah I'm just gonna gamefly both versions and keep the one that looks better.... :P

The rage engine or what ever has actually been built ground up with table tennis on the xbox 360. why would the ps3 have more features?
Recently (well since Oblivion, and on), the developers seem to be closing the gap in the differences between the two systems. By the time GTAIV comes out; the two versions will be so identical it'll be hard to spot any variations. And that's how it's going to be for the rest of the generation I believe; unless of course, porting ensues.
