OXM US said its 10-12 hours long, only OXM UK said its short + 402 (COD 4 Community Manager) said the game is 8-10 hours long at least and he said if a good player plays the game on normal difficulty then obviously the game will end quick

I feel sorry for you if GS's scores are a source of validation for you and not an actual guide to researching games you are interested in.

That's why Cod4 won E3 awards ahead of Halo 3? H3 doesn't change anything.

If the multiplayer hasn't changed or been damaged from the BETA... I wouldn't give a flying duck if the game scored a 7.5.

I played both the single player on PC and the multiplayer on 360.

I'm still think 8.5 max.

it's a call of duty game. In the entire series only one game has just managed to break into AAA. im not saying it's impossible but im still unsure as to whether it will be different enough to have a score better than CoD2.samusarmada

Perception =/= reality. It's great if you liked the game. It was a solid FPS worthy of the scores it received. But it was in no way "revolutionary." And don't say I wasn't around. I was there in 2001 when CE came out, and it was the reason I even bought an Xbox in 2002.

I hope that this game gets at least a nine, but I'm not so sure it really deserves on. I mean come on guys, this game hasn't done anything that a game hasn't done in the past; COD4 is a fun, revamped modern shooter that was inspired by other great modern shooters. That doesn't stop it from being a good game though.TMontana1004

I was obviously kidding, as you seem to have picked up on.

Halo 3 did nothing for the genre. Neither did Halo 2.

Halo 1 brought about a couple interesting gameplay elements (off-hand grenade throwing, recharging shield system) but it wasn't "revolutionary" by any stretch of the word. It was a good game though, I'll give you that.

It is different than any of the COD games, yes, but it is like any other modern shooter that I have played in the past, just enhanced and funner. Shoot through walls? Black tried that and it didn't make the game any better. If any modern shooter will be amazing and unique, it will be BF: Bad Company -- that game will have the most advanced destructable environments ever seen.

but online can last years if you like the game a lot. im still playing gears of war on xbox live but i think COD4 will be better than GRAW and R6 Vegas for its online. who cares about campaign 6 hours or 15 hours whatever i just want to play online anyway.

After playing the demo I found it to bepretty graphics and more of the same as the rest of the series. I'm expecting an 8-8.5

I hope it happens, eventhough I'm a lemming. Wii needs a break -- it's really a good system, it's just that all of the great nintendo games we all have grown to love aren't in development yet.

Halo 3 took me 10 hours to beat on Legendary and many more hours the second time through with skulls turned on. AndI am a Halo veteran so shove that down your throat.
