GOW 1 + 2 were both on the PS2 so they were expected to be similar. Halo 2 was on the original Xbox and Halo 3 is on the far superior Xbox 360. If Halo 3 DOES end up being just Halo 2.5, that really is sad.

Despite that, expect Halo 3 to be awesome.

The only thing bout the GOW was a sequel was a story. gameplay was the same but doesnt mean it wasnt a great game cuz it kicked greek ***.

Im tired of people calling halo 3 a halo 2.5. god of war was short and the same thing as the first one. No depth in the combat at all just a bad *** character to carry the game. What do people want from it. No one has seen the single player campaign and you cant do much in the mp online department. Thats what sequels are, you further the story along adding things to it. No one attacks games like mgs because the story is so good. Its the same basic gameplay with more moves, guns, and a camo system with each installments. Look at the FF series and the last three games....ff10 great, ff11 only online dont need to say more, ff12 cool battle system but story was weak. I guess i needed to get that off since peope like hatin on halo 3.ragincoley86

halo 3 = current gen

a lot of people are dissappointed because the jump in generation has not shown a significant increase.

GOW 1 = last gen

GOW 2 = last gen

GOW 2 improved on what GOW 1 delivered in every category.  THESE ARE BOTH ON THE SAME GEN!

I hope you can see the fault in your post and why you cant make the same comparison with GOW.

errrr just no...  im not bashing halo 3 at all but i am very dissappointed on how its turning out to be.  i have both halo 1 and halo 2 because i am a big fan..but i feel like halo 3 is not making the jump that a next gen title should.  I have GeoW and in my opinion is eclipsing the series that is halo.  so please save your ridiculous reasoning because anyone who is not a blind fanboy can clearly see how similar halo 2 and halo 3 look.

 hmm you must have never taken part in a beta..since it is very rare when a beta is graphically inferior to the final product.  beta testing is used to find bugs, glitches, etc so that they can be fixed before the official release.  as a matter of fact, i cant think of any beta that didnt have the same graphics/visuals as their final product!

You must not have played both of them then, or if you have, you payed no attention to the many improvements. And I mean many. I can't list them all atm, but stuff like all new puzzle elements (stopping time, etc.) and much more playability.

GoW 2 was THE perfect sequel in my and many's opinions. Just stop.
