It most likely will end up looking better consdering they will have more development time.  The developer working on the game said they didnt want to come up against Halo 3 so they delayed, or so he says.

I think Factor 5 summed this little problem up best when they said that when games are made on the 360 first, and then ported to the PS3, they will not be as sharp as the 360 versions because the game was originally designed around the 360's hardware. They further stated that if the PS3 was used as the lead platform for multi-plats, this issue would be irradicated immediately because it is easier to port from the PS3 to the 360, than it is to port from the 360 to the PS3.....because the PS3 has more advanced (and more difficult) hardware to work with. In other words, it is easier to port to more simplistic hardware from hardware that is more advanced.

That being said, since the PS3 is the CHOSEN lead platform for Haze, chances are, the PS3 version will indeed be superior to the ported version to the 360. I say this because renowned developers have said that this is the case regarding the PS3, and I would rather take their word for it, than the opinion's of a bunch of pro360/antiPS3 fans on an internet video game forum. Free Radical has even said that the PS3 is the way to go for the lead platform of Haze themselves because it allows for them to do more with the game. Maybe you guys are more informed than the pros though, I don't know, lol.:P

I think you mis-interpreted.  I wasn't saying that PS3 lead games are better when ported to the 360, frankly I don't know of many PS3 games that were later ported to the 360.  However, If Haze ended up being better on the 360 (which is the possibility posed by TC) then it would be a prime example of this phenomenon.

I think what I'm saying, work with me here, is that they want to build up as much hype as possible for their game so they make the most amount of money they can off the PS3 version.

LATER, they will release the 360 version touting minor graphical upgrades and additions in order to woo the 360 crowd.  This is how most timed exclusives are handled.

I don't doubt it'll end up better on 360, since Free Radical is developing it, not Ubisoft. I'm sure they'll use extra development time wisely, but it all honesty, who the **** cares? Some people worry too much about this **** :lol:

Oh how typical and easy is is to use that excuse. Every single time that a developer or someone within the indusry has ANY positive note in regards to the PS3, someone is always there to counter with, "They are just being biased for the sake of their product", lol. Could it really be that just maybe the PS3 is indeed capable of some things that the 360 is not capable of, and you just do not want to hear it? I guess Factor 5, and even TEAM NINJA are being biased as well when they say the same things, right? 

The 360 was not an ace in the hole after 6 months either, friend. And beings that the PS3 is more difficult to develop for because it is a bit more advanced in certain areas, it is going to take a little longer than 6 months for the devs to tap into what it can do. It is pretty easy to understand really. When you have numerous developers telling you pretty much the same things, sooner or later you have to kind of take it into consideration. That is unless you are so blindly devoted to Microsoft that you cannot or will not accept anything even remotely positive in regards to the PS3....no matter how credible the source is.

I own a 360 as well, and I love it, but to deny that the PS3 is indeed capable of out performing the 360 in certain areas is nothing but arrogant, blind fanboyism. They each have their pros and cons, and actually compliment each other rather nicely when you own both, lol.:P

I do not think that it is ridiculous to listen to what the DEVELOPERS THEMSELVES have stated, lol. Why that is MADNESS, lol. Just to cite a few examples you used, I honestly think that Free Radical chose the PS3 as the lead console for the very reason that it is capable of doing the things that are being done in games like Lair, Uncharted, and Ratchet and Clank.

On any account, we will not know until both versions are out of course. One thing we can and should agree on, however, is that Haze is shaping up to be a great game, regardless.

On any account, we will not know until both versions are out of course. One thing we can and should agree on, however, is that Haze is shaping up to be a great game, regardless.

What you don't understand is that IT IS CRAZY to listen to Developers themselves concerning what there game WILL accomplish.  This is because they have their own interests in mind.  This is like telling me that you should believe a TV Salesman that only sells one brand of TV - OF COURSE HE'S GOING TO TELL YOU HIS IS THE BEST

LOL, yes I realize. But Free Radical did not make the PS3, they are just developing a game on it that happens to be going multi-plat. So why would they freely admit that the PS3 is the better console, when they are going to release it for the 360 as well? Also, I pay no heed to ridiculous sales pitches, so please do not read me wrong. I am only referring to the positive comments made in regards to the PS3. They are not the only developers doing so either by the way.

Sorry, I am not going to shoot down every positive comment made about a system just because it does not agree with my pre-conceived notions, lol. And such positive remarks are not always going to be "sales-pitches" either, lol. Face it, the PS3 is capable of things that the 360 is not capable of, and the 360 will also be superior to the PS3 in certain areas as well. And that is the bottom line.

You just want to recognize only the positive aspects of the 360, while convincing yourself that "the PS3 is just not capable of out performing the 360", lol. WAIT!...do not listen to all of those devs claiming good things about the 360! They are just hyping it in order to sell you their product! All of those positive remarks cannot possibly be true! You might as well believe everything you hear on infomercials at 3:00 am on tv.:lol:....This is basically what you are telling me.:P

No link no proof backing up that statement gives u no credability, besides last time I heard the dev said that the ps3 was the lead platform because it is the strongest system out of the them all. There is a link for it aswell but I cbf finding it because the dev already stated this and never said the xbox 360 version looked better so u my friend are wrong.

Later on in the post some said the same thing as you.  To which I replied that I wasn't attempting to say PS3 games ported to the 360 look better because I'm not really aware of many.  However, if Haze ended up looking better it would be the poster child of a game ported to the 360 that looks better.  Cows often use the excuse that the game looks worse cuz its a port, ports always look worse than on they platform they were designed on.  Haze looking better would throw a kink in that argument.

All I know is that I don't care that much about HAZE cuz I've got too many other good games to play

Isnt the only reason this game is timed is so that it can compete with Halo 3? Why would it look better on the PS3?

I think Factor 5 summed this little problem up best when they said that when games are made on the 360 first, and then ported to the PS3, they will not be as sharp as the 360 versions because the game was originally designed around the 360's hardware. They further stated that if the PS3 was used as the lead platform for multi-plats, this issue would be irradicated immediately because it is easier to port from the PS3 to the 360, than it is to port from the 360 to the PS3.....because the PS3 has more advanced (and more difficult) hardware to work with. In other words, it is easier to port to more simplistic hardware from hardware that is more advanced.

That being said, since the PS3 is the CHOSEN lead platform for Haze, chances are, the PS3 version will indeed be superior to the ported version to the 360. I say this because renowned developers have said that this is the case regarding the PS3, and I would rather take their word for it, than the opinion's of a bunch of pro360/antiPS3 fans on an internet video game forum.
