If Heavy Rain, a game acclaimed for its story more than its gameplay, was made for PC do you believe that it would score as well? Heavy Rain is a point and click adventure game for consoles. This to me is obvious and a great attempt to bring this story driven genre to a new audience. But if it was made for PC do you think that it would be considerd superior to amazing games like The Longest Journey, Syberia, Secret Files Tunguska, Grim Fandango or other classics? Would the presentation triumph over better stories? Yes I do believe that the games mentioned have better and often more coherent and belivable stories even if they take place in a clearly unrealistic world.

I feel like the PS3 is the only way to play it, but it probably could work on PC.

I don't know, would Halo: CE still score AAA if it was on PC? I mean there are so many good shooters on the PC.white_sox

CE received a 9.0 on PC 2 years after its Xbox release. It released on Xbox in 2001 and PC in 2003. Xbox was 9.7 and PC was 9.0. And the PC port was widely considered as not as being quite as good. I loved it, though. The online and mods were enjoyable.

Its not about working on PC. Its about Heavy Rain being released on a platform with a history of high quality adventure games. On consoles an adventure game (not talking about action adventure such as Tomb Raider or Uncharted) is a novelty.

I know this. I was using past instances to disprove his point.

I was not making a point. I was asking a question that interests me. My belief that there are games out there with a better story than Heavy Rain is not making a points its stating an opinion.

I can plug a PS3 controller into my PC, I can render better graphics and framerates than on PS3, I don't see how there are any ifs ands or buts about it. It would be better on PC.

But then you can't shake your orange juice, brush your teeth or kick people in the crouch with SIXAXIS, takes away so much from the game. :(

Let me finish your topic................ If heavy rain was made for PC, we would not have 57 easy trophies to earn. On Topic: Yes i think it would of scored better because it would not have the technical issues that are present on the PS3 version. I think the only reason it did not score AAAE, is because of the screen tearing and freeze problems. Also sometimes after playing for a few hours you cant get your objective to register. For instance, if i need to walk up and talk to some one, it is supose to cut to a cinamatic and dose nothing. So i have to reset my PS3 and reload the game then it works fine.

Or, we could have 57 easy achievements to earn with Games for Windows - LIVE.

If you read the end of my post - which, obviously, you didn't - you can earn achievements in a game if the developers decided to use Games for Windows - LIVE.

EDIT: Also, if it goes on Steam, it may have a chance for Steam Achievements. (Thanks for reminding me, Hanass. ;))

it would look better on the PC but i somehow doubt PC gamers would appreciate a QTE game with little exploration that claims to be an adventure game

i mean you'd have Myst fanboys trying to play this game, it'd be a disaster

the QTE's might actually be better tho just because you can do more interesting motions with the mouse than with joysticks

I don't think it would feel the same. The way they used the sticks and buttons was really well done.
