I can't really remember all the games they have coming.... but I really wanna boycott them.

This whole mess with them suing Brutal Legend Devs is ridiculous.... and I really... really don't want to support them anymore...

So I guess I'm asking, if I boycott them... what games am I missing out on?

PS. I'll not stop buying Blizzard games due to this. My love for BLizzard far outweighs my loathing of Activision.

Look at their games list. But, yeah, this boycotting thing is blowing things out of proportion. You're missing out on a bunch of games just to save one. I'm sure Activision doesn't care.

If you keep buying Blizzard, you miss the point, at the very least.

So, you'll play the games that they make if they're good, but not if they're bad? How's this different from usual? :P

Activision Blizzard: One Company. I don't think they will be affected by your half boycott

Acti isn't the bad guy imo. They gave Schaffer $15 million to make a game and he game them deadlines. He didn't meet these deadlines and asked for an additional $7 million dollars and an extension of almost a year. Acti is like, "Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice..." and deads it. Schaffer then takes all the work that he had down with ACTIVISION'S MONEY to a new company, he wants to release the game and feels that Acti shouldn't get any money despite funding what was likely the bulk of the production cost. In my book, that makes Schaffer a shady businessman rather than making Activision some evil corporation. He may make good games, but he's kinda a scumbag when it comes to handling business.

Acti released his game, they did not forbid him to shop it around, and they do not own the IP. Their problem for releasing it because they could not milk it year after year. They did the same thing to Riddick and Ghostbusters.

Did I say that?

Blizzard is not responsible for Activision being deuchebags, why should Blizzard be punished for that. Well I guess they are the same company now..... meh.... forget it, I can't boycott them..... but I definately will think twice about picking up a game now if it has Activision on the box.

Oh, sorry, I was just assuming that you were asking what good games they were making, in order to decide whether to boycott them. My bad.

Activision/Blizzard is one company. YOu boycotting half a company is not a boycott at all, and is completely pointless.

Besides what has been mentioned, Activision is releasing that Prototype game next week a lot of people are excited about. You can start with boycotting that and see how it goes, lol.

why should we boycott them again? Because they sued a developer?? Big deal. Why not boycott Sony for killing off bleem...

wake up yall- gaming companies are businesses just like any other business... they are in it for money.

Not every business is shady though.

For instance, I have a successful small business and I don't cheat anyone.

The way I see it is..... Activision cut the project loose because they didn't think it would be profitable.... if they did, they never would have cut it loose. Now that they see what a mistake they've made, they are desperately trying to recoup their loses.

Too bad so sad Activision.... if you didn't have the forsight or the experience to realize how great the game would be, then you don't deserve to reap the rewards imo.

Their reason for not releasing it is irrelevant imo because it seems like there were legal documents that contained all of the details. They did the same thing to Riddick and Ghostbusters yet those games are getting published with no lawsuits involved. It's only Schaffer's project where shadiness was involved. He was probably telling EA that everything was good to go, so just cut me a check. EA should have looked over all legal documents regarding the game. Alot of people say Tim Schaffer can't get a fair shake and is always bounced around... but if this is how he conducts his business, I understand why people don't want to work with him. He doesn't meet deadlines, asks for 50% budget increases and then feels like the people who finance his games don't deserve to get their money back.

If you want to play the games and not give money to the developer, you would need to rent or buy used, but likewise, that will also impact Blizzard, but they are one and the same now as the company you are angry at.

Like clubsammich91 said, just buy used games. All the money goes to the reseller, so you can boycott and not miss any games.
