If I own a PS3, why should I get a PS4 now?

I'm excited to get a PS4 someday, I'm just not sure why I should right now. It hasn't added any tremendous features, the exclusives aren't very appealing yet (excited for Infamous though), the only games I would want I can get on the PS3. I would be spending $400 just to play Assassins Creed, Call of Duty, and FIFA with better graphics. Am I missing something that really makes it worth the money right now?

I'd just wait a year or so. It should have a decent selection of games by then.

If you are not interested in playing multiplats on PS4 and don't have a gaming PC, then it's better to just wait for more worthwhile releases and price drops/second hand.

Oh man, I'm having the bomb playing Killzone Shadowfall, multiplayer looks amazing on my 1080p running on 60fps. I don't know which focus on playing - COD:Ghost(1080p60fps) or Killzone shadowfall.

Non fanboy response (my fanboy response would be buy a Xbox one or PC) is wait until after Christmas or even until Infamous comes out.

Well, the best game on the PS4 right now is arguably Resogun, a download title. Look it up. That said, I'm going to wait a while. Infamous looks to be the first really "wow" game for me but that comes out in March.

Don't buy one now. I am in the same boat as you but no game on the PS4 interests me atm and i am playing COD ghosts on PS3 so no need to upgrade yet.

When Uncharted and other great exclusives start being PS4 only then u can upgrade.

@kingoflife9: Not much different than Lems defending Kameo and the whopping 320,000 copies that it sold. Bottom line is, you are all playing shit at launch. Always have for the most part and always will. Launches are for basement dwellers, obsessed fanboys and OCD ridden impulse shoppers. While you cows and Lems make fools out of yourself, fighting over who has the more polished turd, many real gamers are still enjoying the PS3 and 360 until the next gen consoles are actually worth buying.

Just wait. That's what i'm doing. I'm waiting till spring 2014 cause that's when all the games I want are coming. Just wait until a good amount of games you want are out.

Get a system if it has games you want to play when you get it, if not nothing is wrong with waiting, especially considering some potential early batch issues maybe it's worth waiting a few months until say an Infamous bundle comes out (if that's a game you want), so they've time to work out some of the issues with system production.

Stick with your PS3 for now because the lineup in terms of exclusives is trash plus the Multiplatform games like Assassins Creed 4 you can get on PS3 and it will be cheaper.

The system itself is incredibly smooth. If you don't care about the exclusives out now or the better MP games then you can just wait. But I'd def pick it up later if you're at all interested.

@drummerdave9099: If you are asking the question you should just wait. The games will be cheaper for you in the future anyhow.

I'd say hold out till next year, that's what I'm doing. GT6 is coming in 3 weeks and ratchet and clank just came out, so there's still life left in the ps3.

I'm waiting for Infamous SS, could I get a PS 4 now sure but what would be the point? I might as well wait and get a bundle or might catch it on sale. Kind of like the people that bought the 3DS with no games and than kicked themselves a few months latter.

I might not even get one in 2014 because I have a bucketload of PS2 games I haven't played and some PS3 games are still coming out Watch Dogs,MGS4 as well as a big library of PS3 games. I mean I have just bought Ratchet and Clank and also XCom Enemy Within.

The only one that is true is it has no games. The rest is very very false. I own 2 and PSN has worked fine since the morning of launch for me. The PS4 is not broken. You seem to be broken way more than the PS4 could ever be.

If you're not sure then just wait. Grab an infamous hardware bundle when that comes out next year, and skip all the current teething issues.

I may sell mine.. I've had it for 3 days and it's nothing special, there's almost 0 free to play games, the only decent ones are average.. and all the first party games are flops.

I should save it towards a new video card or XB1 for the better games.

Don't get a launch console unless you really can't wait to play a specific game. I'm personally waiting until infamous comes out. Hopefully by then I can get a few other games cheaper.
