You're not seeing the hole picture first can you tell me why HS will sell more then Mass Effect? Second alot of stuff is between the PS3 and its potencial closing gap on the 360, mainly the games and lets not forget Sony is not in control of the price standard anymore. As of right now anything could happen.
Edited: Forgot to actually put the user base in the mix as well. Sony is not in such a great situation in comparison with the 360 it could lower do to those just as much as it could florish. Oh and Blu-ray as well.

Ratchet will be great , but how is it supposed to be a blockbuster with the kind of fanbase that spends $600 on a console. I think it could get to a million eventually but calling it a blockbuster is ummmm ....uhhhh....

The way you have worded your argument does make it seem like you're attempting to veil a conspiracy theory. The majority of GameSpot's paid subscribers are Xbox fans? How do you know that? By releasing the "Tipping Point" article they're just trying to soften the blow the Xbox 360 will supposedly be recieving in the future to please their subscribers? Sure sounds like a conspiracy theory to me.
And saying you "speak volumes" doesn't really mean much because those "volumes" could be filled with fanboyism. The content doesn't really matter to be considered a volume, just the amount of content therein. :wink:

I thought about getting a 360 but the ps3 has so much more going for it. If not for the large price difference I would never even thought of buying a 360 but its too hard to ignore the ps3 has great potential and SIXAXIS has potential.

First, I'm going to address the essense of your Topic Title (let me be a PS3 fan). I don't care if anybody is a PS3 fan. I really don't. Anybody can go ahead and love that platform and show they're devotion to it all they want to. They can have a big PS3 wall poster, have PS3 bumper stickers on their cars, wear PS3 shirts, wear PS3 underwear, eat PS3 cereal. Really, I'm fine with you and anybody else choosing PS3 as the platform they play and love.
But DON'T go spouting crap about the other platforms that is completely baseless and unsubstantiated; * Don't go chanting about X360 having only ONE good game to look forward to all year - it's BS. * Don't go chanting about X360 having OPLY shooters in its game library - it's BS. * Don't go bashing X360 games that got AA or better - PS3 ain't doing so hot right now, and yes I know things'll get better in the future * Don't keep claiming X360 is more expensive than PS3 - those arguments always fail by listing peripherals that are NOT needed, I have an SDTV and will NOT buy the HD DVD drive. * Don't keep claiming X360 graphics will get outdated, especially when they're better than PS3 visuals right now - before you get into it I also know the PS3 graphics will get better in time, but X360 graphics WILL CONTINUE to advance as well - we haven't seen the peak of it after just 1 year, both systems will maintain a level competition of performance
In short, you can love the PS3 all you want but DON'T hate the others, especially when it's based on flawed reasoning.
As for the other points in the post; I'm sure all the upcoming PS3 games will be very good, but GET REAL. X360 has only Halo 3 to look forward to? You conveniently omitted Forza 2, Alan Wake, Bioshock, Kane and Lynch, Stranglehold. Then there are the multiplats GTA4, Assassin's Creed, VF5. There's already GRAW 1 and 2, Rainbow6 Vegas, Gears of War, Dead Rising, DOA4. And how are you able to make a prediction of how well Mass Effect will sell. In case you haven't noticed, it's a HIGHLY anticipated game.
So the majority of paying subscribers are Xbox fans? And you can show us all the documentation to back this up I take it? Seriously, this conspiracy about GS being MS biased is absurd. We hear this every time a 360 game gets a great score - it started with GeoW. As if that's the only way they could score so well. GET OFF this "GS is biased" BS, it really makes you sony fans look pathetic and desperate.
