If I was to buy Max Payne..

unless you have a very very old PC at this point....get it for the PC.

get the demo to see how well it runs, but chances are, it runs fine. 

Max Payne and Max Payne 2 are really games that need a PC to do there best.  Even Gamespot confirms this.  The games involve fast action and reflexes, and they just work much much better on the PC.  Plus it will probably look better too unless your PC is older.  There is a demo on GS for it.

Regardless play it, Max Payne and Pax Payne 2 are the absolute greatest third person shooters ever created and probably my favorite series out there period.  The fact a 3rd wont be made is incredably disheartening to me.

Indeed they are, which is why EVERYONE should be very excited about that game. 

It's not gonna be a huge difference. Go with whichever controller you like most. If you cared that much about graphics then you wouldn't be playing an old game.

PC by far. Its got great mods so the short length is countered. Nonetheless, MP2 is absolutely fantastic, MILES better than MPTaz720

Hmm, i dont know.  The original is just as good as the first in my opinion.  The story is a little better.
