IF Mass Effect 2 went to the PS3, would it be bigger then FFXIII on the 360?

Now I'm not saying it' going to the PS3 or preaching it, just wondering, would the 'fallout' be the same if the anoucement were made at E3? Would it be bigger then the FF 13 annoucement last year?

I prefer ME to the latest FF offerings, but ME doesn't have the heritage of FF, so the answer would be no.

Couldn't get past the broken system, lackluster battles (awlful targeting and team mangagement)and character designs. I mean, it played like a bad third person shooter.

The story was good though, but not enough. Traded it for LO a week later

the contract was for gears 1 and 2 was for the 360. gears 3 could be a launch title for the xbox 720 just like halo 4.

not really. ff has been a playstation only franchise since ff7 on the first ps in 1995. the gears franchise is relatively new since it came out in 2006. also, sony is part owner of SE, i'm not sure if MS owns even one share of EPIC stock.

more like 2011 or 2012. ms allows the "leak" or certain aspects of the succeeding console about 1 year before it's launch. the 360 was known about in 2004 but didn't launch until 2005. also, MS reveals it at or close to e3 in a grand event (like having a one hour long unveiling on mtv) before the release of the console. they unveiled the 360 about 6 months before it went on sale. since they nor the competition leaked or let slip crucial aspects, like the clock speed or the amount of memory just yet, it's easy to say that the next gen is at least 2 years away.

No and only because of the hype it had for years even before the PS3 came out. But it wasn't surprising considering Square-Enix was never exclusive to any console. Look at Final Fantasy VII. I guess they'd figure they'd sell more on PS3 and 360 combined. Though why not the Wii? There is a lot of exaggeration on one side and a lot of blatant assumption on the other.

that would fit the pattern but i'm sure epic is working on other games as well as the unreal engine 4.
