Do you think it would be better game? dont mean to troll or something i mean, they could add more content on each planets making it more unique with the help of blu ray capacity. i felt each planets looks all the same specially the sidequest. The environment and enemies on sidequest are a little repetitive. And the glitch and game slowness, like the dragon age suffers from the 360 version? Maybe just maybe it can be eliminated with install and much bigger space. Im not saying ME's a bad game. IMO one of the best games this gen, but with blu ray, can this game be much better? Your thoughts?

I never correct peoples grammar, but you really ought to edit the thread title to "If ME were a PS3 exclusive". instead of is. Oh and on a side note it's called bluray.

Maybe. If it was PC exclusive we know it would be a better game though.

NO, mass effect will always be better on the PC, and blu-ray does not improve graphics or the amount that is rendered on screen, the graphics on consoles are limited by how much RAM they have, not there storage capacity, what's the point of having 1gb of garphics textures on a blu-ray if your 512mb of RAM can't handle it, and deserted planets are supposed to be barren without many features

If there was a PS3 version, then there is a chance it could be superior over the 360 version.

But it will always be superior on PC.

Maybe, the biggest problem was the repetitive and empty planets. However the framerate on the PS3 would probably be worse and it already has an awful framerate.

If Mass Effect was PS3 exclusive the game could of offered a lot more content on the planets you visit, Bioware could of really went all out and made huge cities and really made each planet unique, KOTOR had great worlds that where big and great to explore I felt the main areas where small and linear. The unexplored planets could of been really made better too, instead of just barren wastelands, I wish I could of went to some of the planets the aliens where from like Wrex or the turian homeworld and had a huge list of sidequest and storys for each planet. KOTOR again, I loved that each planet had its on little story, I wish Mass Effect was like that

When are you people going to realize that more space =! more content? Think of the development time. It isn't a question of space, but of time that caused the game to have the content that it does. Content doesn't just magically make itself, and like it or not, it costs more to make more content, and it takes a longer time to make more content. Mass Effect would have been worse as a PS3 exclusive for a number of reasons. First and foremost, is the fact that, at the time, UE3 was not really all that good on the PS3. It was functional, but little more than that. Since then, it has seen massive improvements, but it would have forced Mass Effect to be delayed and would have held up development. Also, PS3 development is more difficult whether you want to admit it or not. That means even more development time. So, in the end, PS3 development would have been more time consuming than Xbox 360 development and they wouldn't have been able to even create the same amount of content in the same time, let alone create MORE content. So... No. That is about as simple as I can explain this.

Mm, I remember I got curious and looked at Morgan Webb's Twitter a while back. She had a post where she called it "blue ray." I facepalmed.

The game would probably do better as a PC exclusive.

I think it also looks better on the 360 than if it were on the PS3 because the UE3x engine is being used.

If Mass Effect were a PS3 exclusive, I would own a PS3 right now. One the major reasons I bought an Xbox and later a 360 was for Bioware's games.

Would it be a better game? That's hard to tell. If it were better, It probably wouldn't be that much better. It's not like the gulf of power between 360 and PS3 is so vast that it would be an entirely different game. On a side note, Bioware has traditionally been a PC developer and since 360 is more closely based on PC architecture, they may have had a much harder time developing ME on PS3 then they did on 360.

If it was a ps3 exlusice i wouldnt buy it. I ve had it with x360 simplistic and repettive games. The point of the game for me is a nice linear driven story with nice combat and level design. Like uncharted But mass effect is full of blah, blah, and repettive missions and cheap level design and bad combat. Just like halo :D so no thanks.

Hhmm interesting. I'm not sure it was a space issue, I figured it was just too much time to make elaborate quests along the main questline, and they ran out of time and development personnel, not disc space. But if what you're saying is true, then I really wish Bioware makes a PS3 exclusive title sometime in the future.

The worlds are supposed too be undiscovered, maybe thats why it looks empty. The only problem I had with the game was the fact that you couldn't go too earth. As for the Ps3 dunno maybe.

Yes it would of been amazing, I was excited on my first visit to one of the uncharted planets but after the 10 time it was all the same, I would of loved to have stumbled across undiscovered citys new aliens species and some epic side quests. remember in KOTOR the sand people story on tatooine, awesome I feel like playing that game again

I swear this is taking is back to the old BR/DVD arguments we were having in 2005. Seriously just because you can theoretically hold more content doesn't make it practical. If Bioware wanted more "content" on the 360 version, they would of.

Wouldn't it just be the same game with better graphics?

Why would it have better graphics? It would be less desirable considering the amount of PS3 owners that don't feel the DS3 is setup properly for shooters. Especially a hybrid shooter-RPG like M.E.

I said it would have better graphics, because generally PS3 exclusives usually have better graphics compared to 360 exclusives. Im not saying better graphics makes the game any better than it is. I agree most people prefer the 360 controller for shooters though.

An install could lead to less pop in and shorter elevator rides. I would buy the game again just to shorten those elevator rides, or maybe add a little banter!

No it would not be any different. Disk space means Jack S*** when you have a piss poor ammount of ram. How much the disk hold's is irrelevent to how the graphics will look. Now if it were on the PS3 exclusively they could have put in multiple language tracks, because thats where the true culprit behind disk usage comes from, and CGI cutscenes. All the cutscenes in ME were in engine though so it wouldnt have made a difference.

You know that you can install the game on the 360, no? And it does lead to shoter (while still too long) elevator rides and less popups

I wouldn't care because I have great respect in the series already. Others here would just view it as "ownage" and not even touch it.
