I wouldnt visit this forum ever again if this happened. It would mean Microsoft has officially won. Who would agree with that statement?

It's funny how you think that MGS4 is the sole desider of the survival of the PS3. One game does not a good system make. Even if Sony lost MGS4...all that would bring here is TCHBO threads...... What will kill the whole system wars of this gen is if Sony died like the Dreamcast did. as for wii, let's face it, it's a good system and does what it does best...but in the end it's not to compete with PS3 or 360

This forum would equal the effect of 5 atom bombs if that happened. I would be gone for about 20 days if announced.

i agree. and this is the problem with sony right now. The reliance on 3rd party dev's looks to have come back to haunt them.
However what would be really interesting this gen would be if sony's inhouse dev's really cooked up killers apps. I mean recently i heard that they're developments teams are larger than nintendo and microsoft's combined or something.
I love metal gear solid a helluva a lot, but if it goes multiplatform then games like Halo and killzone shadow of colousus and fable will decide what console i'm gonna buy.

If it goes I think cows will drastically disappear from this forum but they will find a way to try and keep hope alive. Also shows that devs have no trust or hope that Sony will succeed. Like I had been saying all this bashing and bad press people think Sony is just not gonna be #1 again, but they are very well on the verge of the possiblity that the PS3 can and if this kind of stuff continues will be discontinued. Now if yall think that is the price they should pay for their decisions of their vision and construction of the PS3 continue and don't be suprised when it happens. I have already braced for it and I own a PS3. I just enjoy the games I have for my PS3 and 360 I no longer hold the topics discussed on this forum to heart and I think true gamers whether PS3, 360 or Wii fans should do the same. You will surely have a better rest, rather than worring about which exclusives you are gonna lose and how lemmings making fun of your console of choice makes you feel bad or worried.

MGS is fun but it's by no mean the be all and end all franchise. I played MGS1 to death, fooled around in MGS2 just to trash talk with Raiden during cutscenes, bought MGS3 but haven't bothered to open the package till this day.

To me ICO, Shadow of the Colossus and God of War are the true must-have's. They're all inhouse and no doubt coming to the PS3.

Even if that did happen it will never end. For the first while Cows would take massive ownage lol but still I bet they would deny and say "but teh ps3 verstion is betta" even though they would be basically the same and after that something else will happen and people will forget about it.

From a worldwide perspective,

FFXIII going to 360 would be more significant than MGS4.

Nah. Back in the heyday of the PS2, there were still rabid Nintendo and MS followers trying to appeal to the masses with their reasoning as to why the PS2 was a second-rate system. Nothing will be different this time around. As long as there is free speech, there will be arguments...I mean, who can resist a juicy argument right?
