i doubt any of those games are gonna flop....both companies are pushing developers to crank the game as good as possible since they are the best of the best......and what people really buy systems for.....
what do you mean by "flop", because that term is used for any game that "doesn't quite live up to expectations" (like LOZ, just because gamespot gave it an 8.7 and not 9.0 , people stupidly said it was a flop)

if MGS4 flops, the PS3 dies. if Halo3 flops, the 360 still lives cuz of the waves of oncoming exclusive AAA's.

MGS4 does not have to carry the PS3 nearly as much as Halo3 has to carry the 360. But the 360 does indeed have new IP's that might just put Halo3 into the same scenario that MGS4 is in.

It's just a dumb game forum. your right, this is just a game forum that we will all eventually leave, but still the users here are real people with real opinions, and the way you said that your opinion was fact says to me that you don't care about others opinions, i am sorry if i misunderstand (also, i am relaxed, so you don't have to worry about that)
PS3 has- Devil May Cry 4(the first one is my favorite game of all time), Warhawk(super excited for), Lair, God of War 3, and Killzone 2 (which has a chance at flopping).(Im not really to excited for Heavenly Sword though.)
Xbox 360 has-Mass Effect, Gears of War, Ninja Gaiden 2(cant wait for this).(Bioshock dosnt count, because you can play it on PC)

i don't believe that ps3 would die if Mgs4 flop i know many people that hate that game and don't care what would happen to it it would be worse if ff13Â flop if halo 3 flop many people just bought a xbox 360 just for that game i think that it would be worse if halo 3 flop
Trust me, MGS4 and Halo 3 will not flop. MGS4 maybe Kojima's last MGS game, and there will probably be a bunch of Halo games after the third one, but I'm pretty sure Bungie has learned from the past mistakes with Halo 2.
