do you think there will be a sudden burst of FPS's on Wii? If the controls truly show the abilities of the controller, I can see 3rd parties start making more serious FPS's. I really do hope the controls of MP3 are amazing... I'm really looking forward to it.

not if there actually good. they will sell. 2 3rd party games have crossed the million mark. non of them are good though. I bet if Manhunt 2, or No More Hereos, DQ swords are good ,then they will sell lots of copies. the fact is there arent any good 3rd party wii games.

I think it will, but it's really a big 'if' on whether MP3's controls can hold up.

For some reason, most people who prefer FPS need shiny graphics with HD and excessive bloom.  The FPS will find its niche and there will be an increase of FPS, but I don't think they will sell as big as the 360 and PS3 games in that genre.

EA's Wii support isn't bad. I'll admit I didn't care for them when I just had an Xbox but their Wii support is great.

That can be arranged on the Wii, hell that can be done on the GCN (TP anyone?).

Okay nintendo is known for mario, Pokemon, and supersmash brothers. These games define nintendo.

You can't lock onto everything, and still, the controls can still be amazing even if you lock on. You still have to turn and aim.

it proves my point that nintendo never takes real advantage of their "revolutionary" control methods...

If MP3 were to prompt FPS games for the Wii you'd realize to have any meaningful releases it would take until late 08'-mid 09' right?

Metroid Prime Hunters had great FPS control for DS.... where are all the others then? Problem is FPS has a learning curve and Nintendo+3rd parties prettymuch view the Wii fanbase as a bunch of casual retards who don't want anything as complicated as more than 1 button.

Most likely. Retro is going to have to set the standard in which most developers should follow. Hopefully the atmosphere and style of the first two Prime's are not over-looked in the third iteration. Pulling a Hunters for the third entry would be incredibly disappointing. Knowing Retro, it should turn out just fine.

I'm still hoping for MP3 to have great controls. Even if it's only that game that makes great use of it.

3rd Parties are doing great on the Wii, EA has shifted alot of its focus towards it and there are new games announced every week.

Reason for that would have to be that EA won't have to put as much effort into their games as they would for the 360 and PS3. Also, they will make more money off of the games. No offense though.Â
