But I think they're both good games, and I hope that HS at least gets an 8.5. It's a gorgeous game and what little I played of it was fun.

TC, this topic is a classic example of one of the fallacies you learn if you take a Philosophy course.

Game A scored AAA on GS and Game B is somewhat similar to Game A so by default Game B will get the same score.

Problem is, the games are very different in story, characters, art direction, sound, theme, pretty much everything is different except for a similar style of gameplay.

It's like saying, because Halo series has always been AAA, all FPS's on Xbox will get AAA. Did this happen?

What keeps Heavenly Sword from being as great as NG, GoW or DMC is the lack of a jump button; that just kills it's chances of being any better than those 3.DementedDragon

Heavenly Sword's combat felt old really quick, I don't see it scoreing AAA.

And the graphics were meh

Action adventure is dominated by 3 games:

Prince of persia, God of war, Ninja gaiden

From what i have seen of HS, it won't beat even one of these games.

Replace Prince of Persia with Devil May Cry. Prince of Persia is more like a Zelda game, heavy on the adventure aspects and less focussed on action. God of War, Devil May Cry, Ninja Gaiden, and Heavenly Sword are more action heavy.

Thats why I hate DMC.

You can block in DMC, you just have to use the Royal Guard ****.

My biggest beef with HS was the framerate. But that's what happens when you're spoiled by NGS running in 1080p at a constant 60FPS!Timstuff
