The worst thing would be if Zelda didn't do anything drastically different. The formula used since A Link to the Past is stale and completly uninteresting anymore.

I don't want a new Zelda. Okami was just released for Wii.

there are apparently 2 zelda games in the workls. One from the zelda team that takes phantom hourglass as its lead (Awesome). One from retoro that takes Zelda on the NES as its lead (also awesome)

Rehash it yet again, like TP was. A rehashed version of OOT. It now needs something fresh and new perhaps they could go back to Cell Shaded Wind Waker Style but with a dark theme like TP.

Really? Is that why Okami won an incredably amount of awards in 06, specially over Twilight Princess?

Okami was and is a beautiful game; I wont go on and say it was better than Twilight Princess, but hell it was something else - something original.

I'm hoping some sort of information is given about the new Zelda at E3 or at TGS this year. Futuristic would be cool, but when I think about OoT I think keep it where its at. Don't change the setting.

Instead, they should start involve an epic story with amazing storytelling, something I feel the Zelda games have but it takes a backseat to the gameplay. Its a good thing it has superb gameplay...

On a side note, I think there should be a whole lot more focus on the mystical and mysterious side of things for this next Zelda. Shed more light on the Triforce itself, go back into what happened with the Sages, maybe why Link never came when Ganon arrived which in turn lead to the flooding of Hyrule. But I think how mystical the Kokiri forest appeared, and I think there should be more focus on that. Magic is just assumed to be a part of their world but shed some more light on it all.

If Ocarina of Time was never made, I guaruntee you Okami wouldn't exist.

I don't think it's impossible that they'll announce a new Zelda at E3. Transforming into a wolf certainly changed things up a little but I don't think it clicked with a lot of people. Any which way, Twilight Princess was awesome and I'll be happy to hear any news of a new Zelda.

Cause thats not Zelda, just like playing as Sheik. One of the center themes of the game is being Link, the lone savior of the land, not hooking up with a few of your buddies and taking on quests and raids and what have you. Plus the fact that MMO style gameplay would remove almost every Zelda gameplay mechanic that is the foundation of the series.

Cause thats not Zelda, just like playing as Sheik. Plus the fact that MMO style gameplay would remove almost every Zelda gameplay mechanic that is the foundation of the series.

If nobody wants a new radical idea for the franchise, then let it be a new IP.

No point in changing the game and keeping the name.

Nothing wrong with it other then the fact it would lose just about everthing we love today about the series. Plus, who would want grinding in a Zelda game? It would just drag the experience.
