If Nintendo was smart.

They'd make a hand-held gameing device with no touch-pad. Something that looked a little-bit like the PSP with nintedo buttons. And the following games were launched with it.

I know, all of you won't agree with me. However I like the idea of the Nintedo DS. But I think a Portable Nintendo 64 would be ful of win. And would be able to compete with the PSP.

I have a DS and never play it. It's full of kiddy crap and games I played 10 years ago. Reminds me of the Wii. It's also a pain in the ass I can hardly play it on the bus or on the train. Since I usually have to shout down a mic or spam a little screen with a stick.

I'll take N64 remakes over most of the non-game casual crap that infests the Wii these days. It's silly that the only DS games I play are two years old....V_Isle

I have to side with sheep on this one. Why would NIntendo need to make a new handheld, there's nothing wrong with there current. It was lacking good titles a year ago, but this year the stream is flowing.

I await UMK3 release this month. Finally a fighting worth playing on DS.

psp is just a ps2 for morons, most of the content consists of comprised ps2 games

DS is one of the best systems ever made. It has better RPGS, Adventure Games, strategy games and platformers than the PSP. it has more and better games coming out. It looks better. It sells more. It has more AAA games and it has more AAA exclusives.

Dude, I can't play most games on the DS it's just bad. The RPGs are all sprites. I have my genesis for that thanks. Adventure games are all 2D platformers since it can't handle anything better. I did own a PS2 but I traded it in to get more games for my 360. I own both a PSP AND a DS. And I can safely say my PSP gets far more play.

The only thing that will get me near to my DS is zelda. And that's the first time I've used it since last summer time, when I bought Metroid to play on the plane back from florida.

Almost all the games just feel as though they've had tacked on controls with the touch screen.

There's nothing wrong with sprites, a lot of people who have been in gaming for a while prefer them. Especially when they look particularly good as is the case in tactics advance or a vanilllaware game. in fact Jean D'arc and FF tactics both use sprites if i'm not mistaken and they're some of the best RPGs on the PSP. Lets also not forget that many of the better looking RPGs coming to the DS dont use sptrites.Dragon Quest 9, monsters joker, Tales of Innocence and final fantasy 4 are all 3D.

The only games to this day I have for my DS I beleive are nintendogs which I played for about a day and got bored, metroid prime hunters and asphalt: Urban GT. However I have about 10 games for my psp.

Just compare Ratchet and Clank to Metroid prime. MP is very grainy and pixelated. Compared to the minor pixulation in R&C.

FF4 is a 3D remake, and your aversion to sprites is strange to say the least. since secret of mana there have been tons of great games with sprites, and in many cases they are better games for it. , disgea, symphony of the night etc are all staples of gaming and they all had sprite based graphics.

and you are right the Ds library owns the PSP, Dragon Quest 9, Ninja Gaiden, Advance Wars 2, Zelda, MArio KArt, NSMB DS, EBA, Contra 4, Sonic RPG. The list goes on.

Metroid Prime hiunters is a pretty bad game but it's still better than ratchet and clank on the PSP,. As for hardware the psp is obviously more powerful. But that's where any sort of advantage ends

The DS is suppose to be a tad stronger then the N64. The Virtual Console is probably the reason you don't see asmany remakes on the DS as you did with the game boy advance.
