It was said back then, I remember. A single game cannot outdo and entire console. It would have moved more units but a $60 a unit and a smaller userbase at the time it wouldn't have been really much.Tiefster
I agree and I like your responses, you seem very logical.
No it would of slowed Halo 3 sales, no matter how bad it is doing now, when it came out it had alot of hype.Drizzt13
But it had limited supply..AND didn't have a worldwide release.
I think Halo 3 and a 360 might have looked pretty damn good to Europeans who were getting shafted by Sony till spring.
[QUOTE="Vyse_The_Daring"]Not only would the game have been horribly rushed to matched the PS3's release, but the PS3/Wii hype at that time was unstoppable, even for Halo 3. It would have been crushed. ljlrjlmfao ur kidding right
Crushed was an exaggeration, I was getting my post done fast because my Halo 3 match was starting, so I wrote whatever came to mind. However, it would have been affected, and the game would have been rushed, which might have been its downfall. And yes, the Wii and the successor to a console that sold 100+ million did have a lot of hype.
Better after, because if gave Bungie more time to polish it.
Although had it came out the same day as the PS3, it might have possibly stolen a bit of the thunder. In hindsight the PS3 didn't end up having a lot of launch thunder anyways, so it may have also just ended up being the same.
