EDIT: The Wii has got a long way to go to catch the 120+ mil that the PS2 has achieved, but it's doing good so far, can it keep it up?

As for PS3/360, it wont be as bad as the ps2 days. The 360 still has a 7 million install base lead over the ps3. At its current, it'll take the ps3 1.5-2 years to get a larger install base. And thats not withstanding a price drops from MS, which we all know is coming, especially after their poor sales in January.

So you believe the Wii will surpass 120+ mil? The PS2 is STILL selling, I see Slimline PS2's at my local Wal-mart all the time. I think everyone who wanted a 360 has gotten one, and there really aren't the killer games coming out this year that we saw last year, this year belongs to Sony, Halo has came and gone. Then again Gears of War 2 could sell some systems. As for the Wii I don't know, nobody expected it to nearly as good as it has done, so it will be exciting to see what happens there.catlin_czirr

1 month of being outsold by the PS3 by 30k in the US doesnt mean"eveything who wanted a 360 already has it". The 360 needs a price cut, badly, and it does have some killer games coming, but even I'll admit the ps3 has more system sellers coming this year. But by no means does the 2008 belong to Sony.

Well, then I do agree with you that ps3 will outsell the 360 this year and will eventually catch upto its user base in another 2 years, but I dont think Sony will enjoy the same domination it did in the ps2 days,

Seriously, cows should at least wait for the total sales of PS3 to be more than the 360 before celebrating and even then it wouldn't be like it was with PS2 unless it can beat the Wii. Achieve all that and I'm will really be impressed.taker42

The Wii only outsold the PS3 by 40,00 units in Janurary

one month could be a fluke due to shortages, 360 outsold the ps3 for 12 months in a row one month doesnt mean a thing hell the 360 outsold the wii for one month ParadiddleFill

Yeah I agree, and we need to wait for a trend in sales until we announce the fate of the PS3 and 360.
