If PSN is so much better than xbox live WHY??

Do SONY Fanboys always get so excited and happy when they get an addon to their online service that live users has always have. Unless I am mistaken I haven't seen any service coming from PSN to LIVE. When Xbox fanboys say live is better, is it true because Microsoft has not had to implement a service that PSN has and add it to live?

I don't think Twitter and Facebook counts because those came with the internet browser.

PSN and XBL Gold is almost the same. 8 man party chat being the difference maker. Really XBL should be free.

It's not better. XBL is better because it has more features than PSN like cross game chat (heard PSN is getting that in the next firmware update), voice messaging, etc, but PSN is free.

PSN and XBL Gold is almost the same. 8 man party chat being the difference maker. Really XBL should be free.

Because PSN is free vs live being a pay service. We don't need the bells and whistles of live and when there's an update then we just get more for free.

Live has "faster XMB"?? Whoa... I didn't know the 360 even HAD XMB :P

I'm actually amazed that Sony continues to bring out so many non core gaming features for the PS. Live has to provide value in the eyes of the consumers. If the PSN did nothing more than give me access to online multiplayer and a freinds list so I knew when my buddies were on to play with, I'd be a happy gamer.

The games on xbox live are unplayable ports of arcade classics which have you bored by the time the demo is done! PSN offer original well rounded games with substance and longevity. The movies on xbox in the Uk suck! Superman 2 and a bunch of horror flicks does not a video service make!!!

And the nail in the coffin. Microsoft points. No idea what they are worth in real money and you have to buy a certain amount. The amount you buy never equates to anything you would buy! 2100 mp does not divide into 800 or 400 which is what the majity of the content costs. What a ****ing con! How unlike Microsoft!!

Cross game chat featureis handy for games like battlefield where the mic wasn't working when it first came out. If you have cross game chat then you can set up mics with friend even if the game mic doesn't work. Plus you might not like talking to people playing other game but some people do and it get used to set up games.

Does PSN have cross game invites?

People always bring up dedicated servers but how many games have dedicated servers. 3 or 4? Its more of a talking point than a advantage.

One of the big advantages xbox live has over PSN is that Xbox live has more content week by week. Indie game, more arcade game releases, far more arcade demos, more demos, more trailers, more streaming videos, just generally more content. The PSN does the job giving you the basics. The PSN might have more content if Sony didn't charge the developers for putting there content on PSN.

I think the reason why MS charges for xbox live and Sony made the PSN freeis because Sony couldn't get away for charging for there rubbish service at the start of the PS3 life. They knew they were playing catchup with MS with the online and had to make it free. They could start charging for it now but xbox live has still more features and content so they would risk forcing people to choose between playing for xbox liveor PSN. I think PSN will cost money next gen but it will still be cheaper than xbox live as Sony has improved their service but not made it on par with MS. Not yet anyway.

I have both and i like xbox live waaaay better, mostly because of the interface. PS3's just feels like a cheap imitation

I prefer the PSN. I find it has much more interesting games than XBL and its easier to navigate. Also LOVE the fact that you don't have to pay for stuff using 'points' and you always know what games truly cost.

Are people really trying to understand fanboy logic, especially Sony fanboys. It's really simple to understand. If it says Sony, no matter what it is, it's the best and better than anything else.

Here is why i think PSN is better

1) No subscription fee

2) Internet browser

3) PS Home

4) Ready out of the box due to built in Wi-Fi. No need spend $100 on wifi adapter like 360

Also, since it MAINLY runs on Dedicated Servers which lag LESS. Unlike Live, which mainly uses P2P servers, which lag morePices
