I mean Unlike 360 becasue of core you can't use hardrive  for devepors but if Sony did put a harddrive in the PS3 they did not need blu-ray if there would be two disks than part of the game would install in the harddrive and you would only need one disk. Blu-ray was expensive and Sony is losing because of it.

I don't think you worded your use of HDD correctly but I think I know what you're saying. The HDD is a great asset for being utilized in extra memory space. It removed the limitation on the amount of textures and so forth one can use with just RAM but I agree, Blu-Ray is a TOTAL waste of technology and money. I think Sony got greedy and saw an apportunity to kill two birds with one stone. Dominate the gaming insustry and define the new standard in home media players. I think if sony removed Blu-Ray and launched the PS3 at $399 we'd all be playing PS3s right now.

Most of the blu-ray's appeal are the high definition films, which obviously wouldn't work with a HDD. If blu-ray was ONLY used for games then yes, it would be a disaster. It's the film playback which will make or break the format.

Except you'd need one hell of a hard drive.  Most gaming pcs today have at least 200gb hdds.  Hell, mine's 320gb.  If you had to install every game on the ps3, you'd run out of space after just a few games (for 20gb owners).

And even then, you're still ignoring the fact that the 360 has neither an HDD or a Blu-Ray drive.  You're validating the ps3's reason for having a Blu-Ray drive (a need for more space for games) by trying to bash the ps3 saying it's HDD makes the drive uneeded.
