If Sony launched the PlayStation 4 at the end of this year- would you buy it?

I don't buy consoles at launch dates, even though the PS3 was the closest, once I saw that $599 price tag, I went to build a gaming PC instead and had to get a PS3 last year, so pretty much no, I try to enjoy my previous systems as much as possible.

Only if it really did duel 1080P, 120 FPS and 4D capable and made Crysis on high settings look very last gen and sold for less then $500.00 then yes, sign me up. :P

SCE doesn't have enough ¥¥¥¥¥¥ to fund ps4's development.

Too early to make a new system. They still need to break even for every PS3 they sell

Are you kidding? That would be suicide, and Sony already stated they have plans for a 10 year system. The PS3 couldn't release any earlier than 2012 for the maximum impact and even then things like new blu-ray changes, patches, and firmware updates give all consoles longevity and money to keep themgoing.

The only way a PS3 launch would be appropriate is if it were announced2011 to come out in 2012-13and only ifit was possible the other companies planned on new consoles as well.

So if no one buys the console at launch what happens to it ? I mean sure you want to wait few years for the library to get bigger but who in the hell is going to support it if no one buys it ?

It'll never happen but NO. I never buy a console until it's been on the market a good year or more. Preferably after the first price drop.

IM finally buying a PS3 next weekend. IF SONY made a new PS next year I would be ticked, very ticked. I would sell out and go PC all the way. I have already been torn apart by MS 360 this gen with failing console after failing console. So SONYS best bet would be to chill for another 3 years.
