Do you think it would've been possible for DS to win the handheld war if Sony had included a touch screen in the PSP?Mystery_WriterPSPi? Or was that just a rumor I could have sworn Sony was remaking the PSP (like DS--->DS Lite) with a touch screen.

[QUOTE="farnham"]wait... wait.. the cows claimed that the touch screen was a cheap gimmick.. about 2 years ago.. what happened..?LosDaddie
Ownage.
That's what happened.
Hmm... I'm drawing a strange parallel to what they say about the Wii.[QUOTE="LosDaddie"][QUOTE="farnham"]wait... wait.. the cows claimed that the touch screen was a cheap gimmick.. about 2 years ago.. what happened..?HeedleGlavin

Hmm... I'm drawing a strange parallel to what they say about the Wii. You can't do that! Consoles and handhelds are completely different! :PIf PSP had a touch screen, Sheep would have accused Sony of stealing.TimstuffAnd cows would have denied it. "Bu...bu teh patent"

"Bu...bu teh patent" actually the first hadnheld gaming system to use the touch screen was the tapewave zodiac. Also sony has been making touch screen organizers for years now.

Nobody is talking about the "first handheld gaming system to use a touch screen". That has nothing to do with where Sony would have gotten their "inspiration".
At TGS this year, Sony will unveil the PSP2, their new $400 handheld featuring a touchscreen, then will spend the rest of their conference insisting that they didn't copy Nintendo.Dr_CorndogThey had Touch Screen tech in testing since 1994... don't be so naive fooooo.

Stop using patents as "teh proof" that Sony wouldn't have copied the idea of putting it into a handheld gaming system from Nintendo. If it had been an original idea, they would have implemented it in the PSP.

I didn't know Nintendo invented touchscreen.

Bad comparison.
