I'm pretty sure it all comes down to three possible reasons
1) Virtual Console: Being able to download many of the "greatest" games of all time to one console
2) first party titles: Nintendo still knows how to make awesome exclusives that span many varying genres
3) Local Multiplayer fun: It's the best system to play when you have people in the same room as you
I bought my 360 a year after I bought my wii and my wii still gets a lot of play. I mainly bought for the nintendo titles (who haven't let me down yet) and on the way found lots of great niche titles thats kept me interested in the console. With a little research you can find tons of titles to the point where you almost don't need another console.
Thankfully I don't have to :P. But there are good local multiplayer games and single player games. What do you mean by if I had to choose Wii over the others? I wouldn't have a choice if I had to and the reasons wouldn't really matter...
LOL For me its the other way around and I mean literally the other way around.I bought my 360 a year after I bought my wii and my wii still gets a lot of play. In my case:
1) Local multiplayer.
2) Weird but awesome games like Muramasa.
3) Nintendo's first party games.
4) I don't really really like first person shooters, and said genre seems to be Western developers' bread and butter.
Just wondering thats all. XD.Thankfully I don't have to :P. But there are good local multiplayer games and single player games. What do you mean by if I had to choose Wii over the others? I wouldn't have a choice if I had to and the reasons wouldn't really matter...

Better exclusives. I only play games during winter vacation, so the typical Nintendo droughts don't matter to me.

4) great looking unique games that you cant find on the other consoles
5) Motion Controles, awesome for FPS (MPT) and Sport games (Wii Sports, Tiger Woods)
6) ZELDA

what he said, just added some others, zelda pritty much diserves its own spot.
I first got truly interested in the Wii when SSBB was revealed. Having played the first two games in the franchise, I was excited. A bit hypocritical of me at the time, considering my current philosophy that a single game doesn't make a console.
Before I got my hands on Brawl, though, a friend lent me The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. It was my first Zelda game. I loved it. Now, thanks to websites like this, I have a lot more knowledge of games like No More Heroes and Red Steel 2. I now see the Wii for more than just that one game, and I hope to get the most out of it as I can.
Wii games I'm interested in:
*= Haven't played it.
1.) Shop Channnel service is amazing, the library of VC and WiiWare games is great.
2.) While the Wii does lack a boatload of multiplats, it IMO more than makes up for the loss with its exclusive library.
3.) Wiimote is great. It can be used as a immersive motion device in some games, and be a standard controller in others.

I got a Wii first. Only played Zelda and Mari Galxy. Then I got a 360 and got and played more games on it than the Wii. I have played many Wii games including third-party and ports but either I finish them once or I get so bored I dont finish them at all. Basically, I just love Mario, Metroid, and Zelda so much I cant get rid of my Wii because of three franchises unfortunatly. I've tried many other games but I get bored fast. Only the three I mentioned gets me playing.Virtual Console/WiiWare
Best Exclusives
Zelda
..For me anyways :P
But luckily I dont have to I have my 360 as well although I havent played it in a while
I chose the wii because I enjoy the games like boom blox, brawl, wii sports that I can pick up and play with my friends but especially my family. I have a high-end pc that I enjoy other games on and frankly, I prefer them to most 360/ps3 games, so I just can't personally justify spending the money on something I have little time to enjoy.
It's cheaper Wii remote play is alot of fun, especially on great games. My Gamecube collection is the biggest I have and I love BC.nintendoboy16
cant belive i forgot GCN BC =/
thats a big reasone too
I did it to shock people in SWThunderdrone

Why would u choose the Wii over 360 and PS3 if u have or had to?blazingneo32089
exceltn virutual console games
inovative titles (even bad games are kinda fun)
first party titles are good
very family friendly
lol the only people who would chose Wii over ps360 are those who own ONLY that console and who have never even tryed the other two... all they do is keep telling to them self that Wii is as good if not better than N64 but in reality its the worst console made by Nintendo. I personaly can't even compare the two current gen consoles to last gen one cuz its not fair :(SyferonikI own a 360. Fail.

That's why I chose it over the others...
Honestly if somebody is giving me a choise of a free wii or free xbox360 and ps3. I would choose the xbox and ps3 because 2>1. But if its between wii, xbox, or ps3, everybody here already said the reasons.

If I had to it would be for the VC and kinda the wiimote since some games use it well, but not alot of them. I would say first party titles, but idk. I only really like LOZ and Metroid. I lost intrest in mario unless its something like super paper mario world on wii I just dont care.
Why would u choose the Wii over 360 and PS3 if u have or had to?blazingneo32089
I've made that choice before.
My first curent gen system was the 360, which I got a few months after launch. My second was the PS3, at launch. After owning both for awhile I came to realize that the majority of games out on either system would be on both. Since my group of friends at that time went exclusively with the PS3, I began buying any multiplat title out for the PS3 so that I could play with them...
...Then my wife and I went to a party where someone broke out their Wii, and my Wife loved it. She played Mario Party 8 and Wii Sports every shot she could get and was still chatting about it a few days later. I knew I needed to get one, but at the time, we were saving heavily and she wouldn't ever had allowed me to purchase a Wii... even if it was more for her love of the system, and Nintendo franchises in general.
About that time, a friend of mine was looking into a 360. I made him a generous deal that gave him what he wanted for a nice discount, and gave me the money to get a Wii, a second controller, and a game. To me, the 360 and PS3 share so much in common that they don't really compliment each other as well as either machine and the Wii.
here we are a couple years later, and I'd like a 360 again. But I don't think I made a bad choice at the time. I do think the Wii compliments either HD system better than going PS360. You end up with more games to play, and more ways to play them with a Wii(insert HDconsole here) than PS360. But of course, all 3 is even better :P
