More damge control to try to justify why you spent $600 on it. Just because everyone doesn't have one doesn't mean they can't afford it. Also, not everyone is a 13 yr old wannabe gamer.
I wouldn't put it as bluntly as the OP. Let's say this: There are a lot of bashers out there. Some who genuinely dislike the system. And some who cannot afford it, have to settle for another console, and decide to bash this system in order to justify/make themselves feel better about their purchasing decision.
I really don't think it's a matter of money. I think that ocassionally it's a matter of preference, but the rest of the time, it's a matter of people just being stupid fanboys and saying things because right now it's cool to hate on the Playstation 3.
I own all platforms too, but the one I like the least is the cheapest.
I have enough money to buy a high end PC, a PS3, 360 and a decent HDtv and I think PS3 is uber ****. Only little spoiled kids have your mentality TC. And btw im 18 and I'm a student who has a part time job.

Okay, trustfund kiddie, we get the point, you have never really worked for your money so you really wouldn't know how it even feels like to even think about spending $800+ on a gaming system (Sweden) that has so far got no AAA games, and all its future games are uninteresting sequels which should have stopped at 3, and a mud slide worth of flops. I'd take that $800 and spend it elsewhere...

No I am more gamer than you, I was playing my NES when when people were playing their PS1s and N64s. Good for you, you can buy alot more than everyone else, quality beats quantiny.

if you can afford a $400 or even a $250 console then I am pretty sure anyone could save up a few hundred dollars more for the PS3 if they wanted one, I have a Xbox 360 and only an Xbox 360, because it has everything I want in a console, Great Shooters, Great Online Play, Great Graphics, etc. so far I see no reason what so ever to buy a PS3 or Wii but if I found a reason then I would save up money for them.

You just want to show off that you can spend 600 dollars for a PS3 which probably took you a whole year to save up for. And what is a gamer, isn't it just anyone that finds playing video games to be a hobby. I never knew a gamer had to be someone that plays video games 24/7
Yes lets all give up are lives and spend over $2000 so we can have all 3 gaming consoles and play every game that comes out for it or we can have live and get 1 console that we want and spend are money on better things like taking your g/f out or working on your car.
There's plenty of people who want it and can't afford it. And then there's others who can afford it and just bash the hell out of it for the price and other things that are extremely pointless while they spend $300 on add-ons for the 360 and $50 a year for XBL.

But addons are optional. I own a 360 and don't plan on ever getting a HD-DVD Drive, while I support XBL. Its kinda sad world when things are so expensive ,even saving up isn't an option.

Bite me. I have a PS3 and a 360. They're hooked up to a 56" 1080p DLP. And a Pioneer THX/Polk Audio surround system (not a box set either, separate speakers) with a Klipsch sub that cost more than the PS3, all paid for and not racked up on a credit card. I probably have more money than you. So, put your e-peen away and come up with a real argument. I'm not a big fan of my PS3, not because I'm supposedly broke, but because it doesn't feel finished, even after an extra year of development. Obvious features that Sony had plenty of time to copy from MS are missing.
